I also have the Jabra Elite Active 65T and am very happy with them, great sound quality and very practical for a sports headphone that can cope with sweat and rain.

Similar experience footflaps, having just bought a Perfetto RoS myself to replace an aging winter jacket. I sized up as recommended online and the fit is perfect, enough space under to add thin layers as the temp drops. The fabric seems to breath very well also.
Best pro for me is the neck cuff, not too tight for once and nice and high.
Worst con, 2 rear pockets, would have been better with 3 as the 2 are too large and things move around too much.
    Overall very happy so far.

I’ve had a pair of the light Geckos running on my Stigmata gravel setup for over a year now, really happy, ticked all my boxes, would highly recommend to anyone.

Thanks for the replies, I’ve changed absolutely nothing in my pedal/cleat or bike setup this year, but I have been running a lot more. Last week I had some extra holiday so I did 2 big hikes and 2 big rides, then running the other 3 days. This training schedule load is normal for me, apart from the hiking.

So, my conclusion from reading on the subject so far is that my knees/legs weren’t use to the long hikes and as a result I’ve upset the tendon. I’ve booked an appointment with the sports physio so hopefully they can check and confirm.

Half an hours ago I got kitted up, heading out for a 3hr ride, got about 100yards and turned back as already felt the knee! Frustrating when you’re used to training every day.

Hi Andy, looking on the KS site the internals look very similar so I think there a good chance I could reuse the small ally part inside the cartridge I need!

I’ll drop you a message, many thanks.

Spoke to Flowtec and KS/they don’t sell the internals, so my only chance is to find an old cartridge someone has lying around!

It’s that silver part in the photo, it screws into the rod.

I’ve spoke with Plush and they couldn’t/wouldn’t sell me the internal parts.

I’ll call Flowtech and ask, thanks.

Catch the Shinkansen north and MTB in the beautiful mountains for the day!

Seriously, this is what I did, contact Nathan Bennett (Team Spesh Japan) through his company and if you are luckly they’ll have a tour on: MTB Japan

I had an amazing day riding with the locals in the hills of Minakami, all single track, was so cool.

Nathan is a sound guy who’ll take good care of you, enjoy.

Just back from Germany after an epic day near Regensburg, spent the whole afternoon there after hooking up with a local via PinkBike. Turns out he and his friend actually live in the hills there and just build trails and ride their bikes every day, at one with the forest, with full on enduro bikes lol.

They leant me a Tallboy and we were out riding for like 4 hours, a mix of singletrack and zero track trails following some truely natural forest runs. These guys were fit and fast, both up and down; I race XC and use to race DH and these boys can peddle.

Here’s the Strava post for info and images.

Currently being recommended an hour north of Munich riding the Regensburg XC trails; found a local guy that might be able to help me out also which would be perfect. Otherwise there’s a couple of LBS he’s recommended and Trailforks mapping, so this looks like the option I’ll take. I’ll be there on the 7th May if you’re also there.

Hi Rookie, wow, what a reply, thanks a million to take the time and effort to post that up and to ndg for passing this thread on. Pretty sure I’ll be staying in the JW Marriott.

I’ll follow up these leads and I’ve also got a few more with help from Russ and his local friend Varun.

Just for closure, cheer Cheezpleez, sticking a tube in overnight worked first time just like you said, so happliy tubeless again thanks, top tip.

Thanks for the replies, they do seem to have stretched and felt more floppy when I put them back on. I tried the strap around the tire trick but they just far too floppy for it to work.

The rim tape is new and the full width of the rim ending on the inner radius, so I’ve ruled that out.

Interesting idea about sticking a tube in over night, that gives me some possible light at the end of this dark tunnel lol.

First I’ll take the tire off again and clean it up better, I think you’re right ChunkyMTB, maybe some of the old sealant bits are holding the tire off etc.

I’ve been running CX1 with Red Hyrdo levers for a couple of years now without any issues.

What cassette will you run? Don’t run a Red cassette like I did for the first season, might be lighter but it really doesn’t like mud and started skipping with a little mud pack!

Q: do you really need a big car for the commute?

I bought a Passat GTE 6 weeks ago after 3 years with a Passat disel and ever since I’ve been trying to work out how much I’m saving and it’s not so easy. First of all my cars are company cars, so I don’t have to pay for them initially, only the taxes etc.

My GTE tells me I have 41km of pure battery when it’s fully charged, in reality today that drove me about 25km, mainly motorway driving at 110kph. Then it switch over to petrol for the other 20km, then tonight I’ll drive the 55km home on petrol as right now I can’t charge at work either.

So in reality I don’t think I’m saving much, but time will tell as I track my costs.

For you its going to be similar as your commute is a similar distance.

Will you be buying the car yourself or?

I think the best option for your commute would be to downsize to say a Nissan Leaf, then you could do the commute return pruely on El. Maybe look if you could find a decent lease offer and calculate if it’d be cheaper for you in the long run?

Our neighbours are just going through very similar DrP, their kids are 8 & 10. I can honestly say that seeing them go through this has really shocked my wife and I as before they seemed to have the perfect family, balanced between work and play. I meet with the husband now and then so fully understand the roller coaster, in fact he and the kids are coming with us tomorrow into the forest, but it’s proper hard to get your head around.

Sorry for the random post, but you’re not alone and from what I’ve seem time does help, and the kids are often quicker to accept the new way of life than the parents. That old saying, happy parents apart is better than sad/angry parents together.

Chin up and all the best.

What did your hire shoes have? Did you like those and if so maybe get the same for now?

Personally on track I always used zero float, I loved the direct connection with control and speed, but guess it’s like most things and everyone will have a slightly different opinion.

Been there and got the scar as well, almost the same as vickachu after a simple OTB, funny enough I also lost feeling along the top of my thumb after surgery but now after it’s almost fully come back. Something about the nerv being caught during surgery but a lot of the time the nerve grows back, so I guess mine is 75% there now.

Once the cast came off, the brace went on, here in Sweden they made a custom formed support which had to be changed after 2-3 weeks because the swelling dropped. Overall it fixed ok and was able to bike/ski soon after and now can’t really tell a difference in strength, just the scar and slightly larger thumb nuckle after it all.

Hi Dave, do you mean the 1/16 E-Revo? If so please mail me some photos and how much you’re looking for.

Can someone recommend an online shop for Traxxas, considering the 1/16 E-Revo for my sons xmas present? Found a good price at RC Geeks but still looking at options, and they’d need to ship to me in Sweden preferablý.

    TIA.
