I wasn't sure about the X0 twisties until I rode with them about 2½ years ago and now I couldn't imagine ride with anyting else, very very good. In fact I have even thought of fitting a modded one to my DH bike 😯

The only issue at I see is that they index VERY loud, even louder than my hope rear freewheel 😆

Not really an issue as such but when racing it tends to make other riders hear your attack coming, although I have a trick to keep the noise down by fully lifting off the throttle when changing.

Been over the net for yonks about a HTII coming soon but seems no closer, looking to maybe buy some RS7s myself but would prefer at HTII 😕

My recommendation would be for http://www.switch-backs.com 8)

Only great things to say about them, have 2 setups, one XC and one DH.

BTW njee20, (off topic and XC related) would a NU seatpost work with a Arione CX carbon railed seat as the rails aren't circular?

And where is the best place to buy a NU? My WCS deal fell through.

A quick question for njee20, would the NU seatpost work with a Arione CX carbon railed seat as the rails aren't circular ❓

And where is the best place to buy one? My WCS deal fell through.

I'd say go one size up for summer socks, I did this for my road shoes with standard thin Sidi insoles. For my XC pair I went 2 sizes up and run thin insoles in the winter using thick socks and thicker insoles with thin socks in the summer 😉

Best of all is try them on of course but realise not always possible, just buy from CRC of somat and be prepared to send them back if they aren't the right size.

I just meant an NU seatpost would be lighter than the WCS. Anthems are nice!

Doh, see what you meant now 💡 Just might have a WCS at a reasonable price 😉

Green Hope stuff came from an 08 pro team, still looking for some more, strangely addictive

The pleney is flippin fantastic, runs directly into Morzine, it's the old WC track, mega fun but can be speed bump hell if timed wrong.

You could ride the pleney on anything really but to ride it really fast you need a big bike.

There is much more to Morzine and the surrounding area than the plenney, love the place 8)

Here's a game for you and your mates, see how many times you can ride the pleney none stop, top to bottom, until your arms fall off lol… Think we got to 8 and then died into the pub with mega arm pump. great way to finish the day off 😆

If your mates take those bikes out then just take your own, you all should ride a similar speed but be warned, you will break something on your bike, it's pretty hard out there lol 😀

Agree, if your mates are taking big bikes out and intend to ride many the more DH orientated trails then you'd be better off sorting a bigger bike.

Most trails could be riden on any bike, most of the good DH trails are better enjoyed on a proper DH bike and a couple of runs there are totally mental, even on a proper big bike 😯

Right, I've had a couple of replies so I guess if anyone is interested then please drop me a mail at jeff3bream AT hotmail DOT co DOT uk and we can take it from there 🙂

As Mikey65 said njee20, with all the RLVs I have you have multiple options for shorter rides etc. Plus you can also make the ride easier if you can't manage a 2 hour session up Ventoux lol….

BTW – bad luck Mikey, gutted 😥

Wasn't planning on taking over the world or owt, just can't justify buying all the RLVs from 08 and 09 and thought some other owners would feel the same way, oh well 🙁

Bought a Tacx Fortius a few months back and it's really good to avoid the boredom, RLVs are fantastic, can easily do a 2 hour EM ride with them.

If you haven't got a Fortius but still fancy riding to scenic tours you can watch them on youtube: LINKY

I successfully repaired a small side wall rip (~5mm)in my front racing ralph by glueing inside a piece of sidewall cut out from an old tyre. Worked a treat and still running now after some 8 months 8)

Fizik all day for me, tried a few other makes but they just made my willy go numb 😯

Use to ride a gobi for xc but recently switched to an arione so I now ride arione's on both my road and xc bikes. 8)

You need to try a few if possible as the shape of your ass really decides what type of saddle would work best for you, thanks IMHO anyway.

Knowing from your posts that you lived in the southern part of Sweden, it would be a good guess!
I'm further north up in Göteborg and we've only got a couple of mm of slush as always.

Well, there's actually nothing here in Landskrona where I work but Vallåsen is built on a strange spot that is always a couple of degrees lower than the surrounding area. Plus they've been blowing snow for a couple of days so it's starting to build up a nice base now 8)

Off topic but you should seriously come down to Vallåsen come spring, we have loads of riders from up there that come down, only an hour and half drive 😉

It would be a great thing if it happened, start help a new generation of track racers.

In olden days, there was a velodrome as such at Moorways, back in the 1900-30s I think but got tore up in later life when the cycling part moved away from the athletics sideYe'oldy type info.
