I find I'm starting to replay my dads classic old statements, make me lol everytime 😆

On seeing a larger lady dressed to impress: 'bloody'ell, that would make you sweat!'

And another: 'Sesus, wouldn't know whether to **** it or fight it!'

And my fav, said anytime life deals an unfair card or feels slightly heavy: 'Tough at the top'

Does anyone know when the 2011 Trek's are out?

They look ok but only work with Shimano rear mechs.

Been using X0 gripshifts on my XC bike for over 3 years now and love them. Even considered putting one on my DH bike as I like them that much.

The only negative I find is the very loud down shift click, when racing it can give the game away from a suprise attach. But then again you don't need a bell when out, a couple of clicks up and down warm anyone within a 10m radius your about 😆

There also a guy over on weightweenies doing 10 speed X0 conversions for use with the XX cassette, seems to work well.

Unfortunately stevomcd speaks the truth, it's quite depressing really. Plus it's a double edge sword. If Inners got a lift and more riders came, would the trails hold up to all the extra riding?

The main reason our summer season runs is so that we can keep/pay full time staff throughout the year. With seasonal work it's sometimes hard to keep the well trained staff that are essential. Winter is a different situation, on a busy day up our hill we have over 1500 visitors in the winter, in the summer it is ~100! Lifts costs pretty much still stay the same, simple math.

Unless someone has a spare few mil to sink into Inners for fun, I doubt it's a viable buisness. However, hopefully someone has the spare cash because I'd love to see more lifts in the UK and Inners is a perfect location. Just a shame they can't have a winter season to cover the costs.

LOL, Mrs Bream has 7 weeks to go and thus far we have spent about 50 quid, and until last weekend we hadn't even spent anything 😯

I call it denial but the wife just calls me lazy….. whatever 😆

Good luck with it all, can't wait myself, even more exciting than buying bikes

I would avoid the DT to be honset, they look nice but cost a fortune and I broke the plastic lever off mine. Used a normally bolted axel after that, sorted 8)

Just seen that Superstar one, at that price you can't go wrong!

Last Thursday we picked up our new A4 Avant after we sold the wifes 3 year old CTR, we had similar requirements to you and have driven just about all the current crop of estates. For us the A4 was just a cut above everything else, plus we went with the quattro package for added stability. The new chassis feels a really nice platform.

I test drove the Allroad and just didn't like the feel or style. We test drove a Passat and it was ok but we felt the slightly lower price wasn't really worth it enough to go that way over the A4.

When I asked Audi about the AWD giving lower MPG they stated that Audi themselves give the same MPG figures for the FWD and AWD models so they reckon the AWD doesn't give less mph!?!

And yes, the satnav is very expensive, we opted not to go for the satnav but went with the upgraded entertainment system instead.

I seem to have a different problem, head says yes, legs say no 😕

Attacked down a long descent last night, broke away, heart rate held 190bpm, then legs just packed up, lost every ounce of power, the pack then flies past with me struggling to even turn a gear. Took about 3 mins before I was back up to speed 🙁

Strange how you can feel so good one minute and then all of a sudden lose everything in your legs.

Simple answer I guess, more training required 😆

Been in a similar position, I would ask what is your mental state, are you feeling totally weak for all the crap or would you feel strong to sweep changes through to make the place better.

I felt totally demotivated and knackered mentally from all the crap so left and started fresh somewhere else, definately the right decision as the old company are still in the same crap state now 2.5 years on.

Money is only good some of the times, being happy and positive is priceless 😉

Whilst applying the clear coat to Koenigsegg's, or carrying out a repair, it's simply a job to sand down and re-apply. Paint stripper may cause big problems if it gets into the weave etc. As for what laquer, you just need a flexible car laquer, something like the use on plastics, will be fine 😀

GGGRRRRRRRRRRRR, forget what I said before, came to fit this last week before a race and it doesn't fit despite what DT Swiss say 👿

Needs a lathe to make it fit with spacers and won't work long term so need to change hub now anyway 🙄

    Not happy 🙁

How high is the front mech? I tend to run mine very close to the top ring, maybe if the gap is too big???

    Bream
    Free Member

Did you replace your middle ring with a new one? I have to change mine once a years along with the chain and cassette, if not the chain jumps. The outer and inner rings last much longer as they get less use.

But, if it is jumping off just over bumps and roots and not under power then maybe look at trimming your front mech?

Haven't been in the UK for 3½ years but use to live/work very close to there. My comments are that that road is very busy and where you have pointed is also on a hill. Depending on how close to the road it is it could be very noisy, if it is set back enough it could be quiter maybe with a nice view over the valley.

It's a nice area, we loved living there, you just need to find a quite spot 😉

Does anyone know if there is a 15mm adaptor for the 440 front hub ?

Can't see one listed on the DT site or CRC so I think you've out of luck, just drop them an e-mail direct, they've always got back to me on questions.

I made the mistake of taking my rear wheel to the LBS to remove the star nut, cost me nearly £20 and they fitted it back together wrong so damaging my new bearing 😡

Needless to say lesson learnt so bought the cheap star ratchet and welded on a nut, welded it on the inside so no external flash etc. Perfect tool sorted for about a tenner.

All docs are on the DT website

Dead easy to fit, there's a guide on the DT website, the 2 new ends spacer pieces simply pull off the center shaft. I used a vice with soft jaws so not to damage the spacers. You need to take off the free hib as well but this is easy as well and shown in the guide. Also a good time to change bearings if you haven't done so before.

Of course Mat is correct about the body width, but I am running the narrow body on my DH race bike with no issues, I'm a bit of a weight weenie mind 😆

How heavy are you? and what riding?

New Ultimate is about the lightest, or the KCNC as above. Although I reckon the Masterpiece is about the best weight/strength option and what I run myself.

No need to buy a new hub, just buy the DT Swiss conversion kit 😉

Finally built and ridden, albeit with a couple of borrowed parts, but it was enough for a weekends riding.

My initial impressions are extremely good, very stiff and the rear sus works like a dream 8)

Well, when I use to race supersport 400 I tried a few bikes and could never fit on a Honda, just felt too cramped, I'm 6'2".

In the end I raced a Kwak as it felt more natural.

Sounds to me like you need to go sit on them all and see what feels good for you 😉

You can read about there history on their website: Banshee Bikes

The Legend MkII has been a long time coming, I've seen many a new bike but I'm blown away at how well this thing is built and delivered. Can't comment on the ride yet but after this weekend I should be able to as we open our hill for the first weekend of the year 8)

Swedish DH Cup kicks off in 3 weeks so need to get use to it quick 😆
