cranberry and bravohotel erm interview with fox was actually an article in the sunday times (no link as you now have to pay for that paper but it is leagues above the guardian obviously, do you pay for it?)

I buy the print edition. I read the Guardian at work, however I do not pay for it.

your points about the guardian being?
because right now it just seems like you are getting all upset with them because they reporte dthe story ??

My point about the Guardian being exactly what I wrote. Can you read?
I'm not upset about the story appearingin the Sunday Times, the Guardian or any other newspaper. I was expressing my disappointment in Fox getting het up over a video game.

    Untwist your panties please princess.

Most grown men in this country alternate between garish nylon tracksuits with 'Le Coq Sportif' emblazoned across them and the classic square toed slip-on shoes with entirely superfluous metal buckle/stonewashed jeans/pastel coloured easy-iron short sleeved shirt mega combo.

Why should anyone care what they think of your attire?

I disagree, the Guardian has been on a rapid downwards trajectory for years.

Both the Daily Telegraph and The Times are leagues above it. The Guardian is more a reactionary left wing 'ying' to the Daily Mail's reactionary right wing 'yang'.

Back on topic, the story is ridiculous of course and Fox should know better. This sort of lame populist outrage is better left to Labour.

That's not the one that's been in the news recently is it?

So, in conclusion some people have tattoos, others do not. Some people without tattoos can't stand tattoos whilst others remain non-plussed.

Hi Sektor uturn coils and uturn solo air in stock with me now! Revelations on their way too. Drop me a mail.
    Posted 23 seconds ago # Report-Post

Excellent, perhaps you could clear up the query as to whether Sektor is a budget Pike, a Pike replacement or for people who don't want to pay Revelation money?

Also, which of the Coil U-Turn Sektors have the best damping/are best suited to 'All Mountain' types. God, 'All Mountain' sounds so lame, but you know what I mean!

Will mail you later, but have to sleep now before my next shift.

    Cheers for the replies.

    The plot thickens…

Their product line is so big now that it's hard to determine quite where everything fits in.

I heard a great anecdote about a particularly gobby sailor in the United States Navy who got wasted during a run ashore in Pompey.

He was loudly decrying all things British, banging on about his 'Irish' roots in that way that many members of the Ginger-American community are so fond of and generally hacking everyone off.

A group of Royal Marines 'befriended' him and took him to some more pubs before depositing him at a tattoo parlour. He woke up to find a Union Flag covering much of his upper torso and the legend 'RULE BRITANNIA'.

Further to the above…am i correct in my assumption that the Sektor is just an updated Pike with all of the same heavy duty abuse handling attributes?

I admire those who play the long game.

I was obsessed with a girl called Wendy at sixth form college, I eventually pulled her at a house party in September 1996 followed by some pretty disappointing foreplay. Well, I think foreplay is a misnomer given that it didn't precede anything.

Fast forward to January 2010 and I happened to run into her in London. We went back to her house and had some pretty disappointing sex.

It just goes to show, dreams can come true! 😕

Could mean a variety of things.

Have you ever gone further than the friend zone with her or has she ever indicated to you that she might have romantic feelings towards you?

    PPppppppp pork pie?

    Yeah.

Maybe half a pasty and some smoky bacon Mini Cheddars too if I'm feeling decadent.

I like to incorporate a nice slice of pork pie into a ploughman's.

I realise this is probably against God and nature, but that's how I like it.

Afghan Whigs – The entire discography, but especially 'Gentlemen'(oh so bitter) and 'Black Love' (post-break up and out for revenge). '1965' is more the sleazy out on the pull album.

First they came for the fixies. But I did not speak out, for I was not a fixie.

Then they came for the single speeders. But I did not speak out, for I was not a single speeder.

Then they came for the 29ers. But I did not speak out, for I was not a 29er.

Then they came for the roadies. but I did not speak out, for I was not a roadie.

Then they came for simonfbarnes. But I did not speak out, for I had absolutely no moral objection whatsoever to his internment in a death camp.

Isn't pissing on a memorial to pointless killing appropriate ? It's the maudlin nostalgia for mass delusion that is revolting

I'm sure that would go down a storm on the Guardian website. Everywhere else it just makes you look like a contarian git.

Mate of mine is a lifeguard, told me about a guy getting out of the pool with a LONSDALE tattoo on his back.

    Might have been a neo-nazi/white power thing…

    l-o-NSDA-l-e

    or National Sozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei.

Lonsdale clothing was inexplicably popular in Germany for quite a while before people realised that when worn under a jacket a Lonsdale jacket would only reveal letters 3-6.

Then again he may just have been a nob. I've seen a few people with the Nike 'swoosh' logo over the years.

No opinions either way, have seen many good and bad examples over the years.

This seems like an opportune moment to recount an amusing little tattoo related conversation I overheard 5 years ago on the train from Bournemouth to Southampton though…

Lad 1: I was gonna get a tattoo done today.

Lad 2: Oh yeah, what of?

Lad 1: Just text and that, reading 'CARPE DIEM'

Lad 2: How come you didn't then?

Lasd 1: Couldn't be f&*%$d, I'll get it done some other time.

The irony was lost on both of them.

Shudder to Think – criminally underrated band. They were on Dischord through the 90's, but never got the success their talent deserved.

'Funeral at the Movies/10 Spot' and 'Get Your Goat' in particular are amazing, but some people seem to prefer 'Pony Express Record'.

    Check them out.

Lovely bike. The only thing I don't like is the 'Five' graphic on the swingarm, then again I ride a bike with RAMONES on the top tube in ludicrously big multicoloured writing so ignore me.

Lots of good suggestions on this thread.

Any of the people who like Black Flag, Minutemen, Mission of Burma, Minor Threat, Husker Du, The Replacements, Sonic Youth, Butthole Surfers, Big Black, Dinosaur Jr, Fugazi, Mudhoney or Beat Happening should check out Michael' Azerrad's Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground, 1981-1991.

    Such a good book.

Henry Rollins' Get in the Van – The Black Flag Tour Diaries, is an amazing
book too and will appeal to just about any music fan even if you don't listen to hardcore.

I'm currently at work and will be til' 07.30.

Am watching 'Adventureland' on Sky Movies (it's pretty good) and chatting with my colleague.

Later there will be Wine Gums and a chicken korma, though possibly not in that order.

They haven't announced strikes then, just a ballot on industrial that could result in strike action

They were riding high for a while from about 94-96.

I remember 'Seether' was all over MTV and was NME/Evening Session Single of the Year. Saw them at Reading Festival at some point too.

Nina Gordon and Louise Post were beautiful, shame they split…allegedly it was over Dave Grohl who'd scored with both of them.

Love Eight Arms to Hold You, some great songs on there.

There are a couple of other albums too, but it's just Louise Post and some session musicians.

    That's nice of them.

Now the British Army, already overstretched and very often paid less than firemen will have to step in to provide cover and put themselves at enhanced risk by using clapped out kit because they're not trained to use the lovely shiny Fire Service gear.

I can't believe striking isn't illegal for the emergency services, it should be.

Yeah, that Surfer Blood album 'Astro Coast' is great. Saw them at ATP Pavement earlier in the summer, they were even better live.

Darkstar! I sawe them about 10 years ago at Hull University Student Union. Tickets were £4 and there were all of about 40 of us in attendance.

    Forgot about Daryl Palumbo!

Have had tickets for Glassjaw on no less than 4 occasions, but they cancelled on each of them.

Been meaning to ask, is your username a Fugazi reference?

Ian MacKaye and Guy Picciotto to add to the list.
