Once the 650B and 29’er markets have been fully raped of consumers’ cash, I wonder whether the marketing guys at the big corporate brands will lead everyone back down the garden path to 26″ wheels or come up with new cash cow.

So does this mean Dialled think everyone that has bought a 29er is a marketing victim and you guys will never build 29/650b frame? 🙂

I am struggling to understand why most of the comments here are generalising this issue. I have never ridden 650 but I’ve had a few 29er and 26ers. The difference between how my solaris rides in comparison to say my first 29er(Chumba HX2) or my GF bitter to my last 26er(C456) are so significant that to say “29ers are good at **** or 26ers are better at ****” just doesn’t make sense at all.

IMO the only people that can begin to justify statements like that are the ones who have ridden a selection of long/short travel suss and hardtail bikes in both 29 and 26 inch wheels, as a wild stab in the dark I don’t think that there are too many folk other than employees of bike mags that have this experience to comment upon(Although there are a couple I know personally).
If you haven’t done that don’t misinform people with mis/preconceptions, ego padding and wishful thinking.
Trying “all 3” doesn’t immediately mean you can call it on which is best only which one was best for you and even then that opinion is formed having only tried maybe 5% of the bikes out there.

Great to deal with but be warned, they use DHL to ship and although my previous two orders hit the UK very quickly getting them delivered was a nightmare as they sub out alot of deliveries to lazy f***ers.

its a Ti, long travel 29er, your argument is invalid LOL

(i will accept it could use internal routing on that reverb tho)

There is one valid argument though that being it really doesn’t ride very well.

A 26er wins 1st place in one race, that proves without a doubt that 29ers are crap 🙄

As usual that’s gonna depend on where you do the majority of your riding.

Fair enough Plumber but loud enough for what? What do you use yours for, practice in the house, surely you can’t gig with it, do you just have it for that flat out marshall sound at bedroom levels?

Are these not £500+ ? Thats alot of cash for a practice amp, I’m assuming you have other amps for gigging, you’d get a full on 800 head second hand for £150 more!!!

LOL @ Hora making comments on people being easily led into a retail “experience”!

Had an S and an S2, S3 just doesn’t blow my socks off TBH, although its maybe not a better phone I might be swayed by the One X, HTC seem to have found their mojo again. iphone 4s is a spectacular piece of kit, just not really a fan of it.

Didn’t used to have any issues with dogs until I did the WHW last month and got bitten by a dog that was being walked by professional “dog walkers”. Ran up to me as if to say hi and took a chunk. Over the next 50 miles or so three more dogs with their owners saying “he won’t touch you” had a go or chased me. All dogs should be on a lead in public without exception, if an owner says they know their dog and they won’t touch you they are lying because quite simply unless they know how to speak dog they don’t know what its going to do.

Low skilled marketing vulnerable amateurs on the internet not knowing as much as professional cyclists shocker.

It’s probably not as good as the plebs think it is, but they’ve spent what is still several hundreds of pounds on a “bargin” and are probably unwilling to admit to themselves that it’s not the best thing in the world.

So its “plebs” is it? Elitist dick on STW shocker, and its bargain btw 😉

IME the people who hate Morrissey have never really sat and listened to the music or thought about what he has to say.

Nope, I hate his “music” because its sh*t, but then thats what music is all about, each to their own etc.

36 forks are over kill for trail centre style riding. I’ve raced enduro on my 456c and ” slid passed ” many full sussers as you put it. The bike with a 150mm fork runs a 67 degree head angle which is spot on and a 32mm style fork saves weight over the beefy 36’s.
Maybe you should look to ride a little smoother????

For starters I ran them at 140mm, secondly you are awfully defensive for some reason and thirdly why are you right and everyone else is wrong, its the usual in this place, you ride what you ride and geometry isn’t the be all and end all, fun however, is.

Because its fun??? You get a well set up 140-160mm fork on a C456 with a decent pilot and it’ll worry the crap out of many full sussers, trust me on that. There are few things more life affirming than sliding past a high end full bounce on a shodilly finished, ugly bit of plastic 🙂

steve_b77, I had a chumba HX2 before my EMD, different class, I liked the chumba but the steering on the EMD is just so “right”. I got a medium cos its a bit more chuckable and feels way better than the chumba in the air.

Earlier this week, he was voted the UK’s most influential stand-up comedian of all time in a poll compiled by fellow comedians.

Taken from the BBC article about his walk off, this obviously confirms his shitness! Why can’t we all just like the same thing 🙄

Billy was bloody funny early on but he had good writers, one of which died in 1996 and the other fell out with him while ago.(Hamish Imlach and Watt Nicoll)
Used to work with Watt on a couple of musical projects, said Connolly was a C**t.
