but Apple have decided the future is HTML 5 and not flash.

Yeah lets see how that works out, used to be a total apple fanboy, just find their kit uninspiring and bland these days.

Hi Tom great work wicked web site! Is there any way you can make the movies work on the i phone / I Pad? It’s one of the reasons I won’t go digital with my sub as I’m not 100% it will work, on the apple mobile systems. but the movies not working is a real same week in week out. Sorting it will be a real winner please fella!

    Thanks!

Unless he has a direct line to Steve jobs to tell him to get his head out of his ass and allow flash on you poor iphone/ipad users kit, I doubt it.

Had my Zesty 314 for a year and a half now,you could get into arguments about whats better than it or worse but fact of the matter is if you are buying a bike at that price range nothing will be noticeably better than it, it looks awesome, climbs well and goes downhill better than anything else I’ve ridden. You won’t ever regret buying one.

Thought it was ok, Bridges does a great job, even Daemon is not bad and the wee lass is excellent, not a patch on the original though.

Surely forks don’t take up a huge amount of space?

Really nice to see a parent that gives a sH*t about their child, I have quite a few friends who see theirs as nothing but a burden, good on you m8, lets face it, if he means as much as your bike he must be special 😉

Don’t know if it helps but went from having a highroller on the front and ardent on the back for near enough 2 years to a big betty on the front and racing ralph on the back and I can’t rate them enough. Best way to describe it is with the high roller you had to push it then it dropped in due to quite a square profile whereas the schwalbes are progressive and rounded, defo allow me to be smoother and maintain momentum rather that the brake hard throw it in mentality I was using before. Never once had em let go either( probs not trying hard enough)

I bought over a grands worth of stuff from on-one 3 months ago, their stock system is bloody useless, I was told my frame was ready, then it wasn’t, then it was at the painters etc. Got the general impression no-one knew what the hell was going on. Apart from that I can’t fault their service and how they dealt with the situation after I went of on one (tada) at them. Ben is the man to speak to, great guy and mega helpful.

less downtime than Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook.
    Hardly good examples.

Maybe you should have had the site ‘redesigned’ for more than £600…

You are so right, you site is a much better example of what can be done………

Can I respectfully suggest that all driving aids are the bad aids and shouldn’t be used due to extreme gheyness, also, the ring is the only real challenge surely. No driving aids, the ring, job done 😉

Looking good m8, you’ll love it trust me. Interested in accurate weight, mine with same forks is just over 27lb weighed on two sets of scales to make sure, would like to know how to lose that extra couple.

Gotta say I love mine, fox 32 rl,XT brakes, crossrides with 2.4 big betty and racing ralph, on-one twelfty post, slx crank/xt mech and a set of big ass flat bars on a 70mm stem. Mega at climbing and descents so much more involving than my Zesty. Finish is crap on mine but that’s probs my fault as I pressured the hell out of of them to get me it quickly, they actually went to the paint shop to pick it up for me specially and I don’t think the lacquer had time to harden properly. Don’t care though, as many have said on here it ain’t much to look at but to ride………..:)

Be careful m8, its quite easy to mess up an android phone and once you do if you don’t know your s**t you can forget fixing it. Also, the second you root it to allow the flashing of cooked roms its ta ta warranty.

Descending on a hardtail is completley different from FS, The FS you can pretty much hang on and let it plough through if need be but with the HT you have to unweight the bike quite alot to get it to patter or skip over stuff to compensate for the lack of suspension at the rear, others will no doubt disagree but if you want planted over the rough stuff I don’t know if a hardtail would suit.

Switched to a Carbon 456 from a Zesty 314 a couple of months ago and Totally love the thing, mega light and responsive and astonishingly capable going down. I still have the Zesty frame as took most things off it for the 456 but plan on building it up again in the spring to give myself both options. Hardtail is what I started on and its good to be back but my old bones do notice it. BTW I’m 13 and a half stones heavy so don’t worry about carbon and weight.

Anyone got a link or pics of all these zestys that have been “snapping”, and I mean relevant ones i.e ’09 onwards. Have had my 314 for 15 months now and apart from the BB issue its been through all conditions all year and never skipped a beat, only downside has been the frankly atrocious Formula brakes which I swapped for XT’s within a couple of months. Gotta admit, loved the comment about them being MBUK fad bikes, STW wisdom at its best.

Have had my carbon 456 for a month now, its comfy, light, mega snappy off the pedal and descends like a bloody lunatic. Was worried I would miss the comfort and plushness of my Zesty 314 but now quite happy to put it in the shed for winter.

fair point, hate it when people are anal about the cleanliness of their bike. its for riding, not cleaning.

Not if you want components to last 🙂 Heres my effort, sorry about the phone/cam pic.
