Oh the faith us still alive. I ride my 96 Killy everyday … It's been over the Himalayas, done most long routes. In the uk, malin to mizen, jogle, and still rides sweeeet.

Just need a clearout of bikes that tbh are slightly bigger than I like to ride now. I prefer an 18 /17.

Got very very drunk on Tequila…on my last night in Kabul.

Woke up face down in a sewage ditch in a down town district with no idea how idea how I'd got there…passport and mobile ( sneaky beaky numbers stored on it) had been stolen unkowingly from my pocket – but not my pistol.

Apparantly arrived back at the teams house in a taxi…(not the done thing at all).

Best bit….I'd poo'd my pants as well !!

Should have joined the fire service..they get paid to do this!

Honest opnion…

Do no training and little planning, carry bare minimum with definitely no support.

Relax, and enjoy the 'journey'.

Im a Northerner…but way down in the south of England….I will try that twitter idea.

1.Get rid of the utterly riddiculous response times…as stated earlier an over resourcing total waste of finances!
2.Introduce a payment system for all emergency treatment – if the 'emergency' required an ambulance and was necessary then the payment is refunded (this would take a simple decision by the A and E Doctor).This would dramatically reduce a massive proportion of the dross that our highly trained Paramedics have to break their necks to get to in 8 mins.
3.Integrate the out of hours GP service closer to other services – at the momment they are a law unto themselves and seem happy to take their inflated overtime wages but simply burden other health professionals with their wriggling and visiting avoidance.
4.Now this one really is basic!! All medical attendances by ambulance crews should be forwarded onto the patients GP – it may not stop unnescessary A and E attendance but at least this way someone is monitoring the situation.

I reckon the biggest thing is just to simply recognise that the human brain is not designed to tick over all happy and content…and that it needs varying stimulation to keep it from going 'really mad'….our deep thoughts and dark spells are something to live with rather than something to end our life for.

Hi there sorry for slow reply have been working.

My brother lives in Auckland (a westie) and the al folks are in Tairua, Coromandel.But am happy to have a drive somewhere to pick it up in the North Island.

I'm only there for a month so just want something really cheap ie under the $450 NZD mark…..but less if poss.

Anything really – cyclocross, hardtail…or a sweet and well loved old hack. Im not ridng down MT Cook just want a cruisey bike that is rugged enough for some trails whilst not being silly to ride down to the beach.

Size = Im 5 ft 9 so anything from a 17 – 19"

What on earth is a weekend?

…noooo far less complicated and wasteful than taking them to another hospital.

They abused the system on a regular basis just to get a lift into the city on a weekend…so we like to make a fuss of them …..to give them a bit of extra attention.

En route to the hospital we would perform the 'foot reflex test' followed by opening the ambulance door.

The pampering continued – wheeled into A&E on a stretcher to save them from walking.

Funny how many single shoes there are in the gutters of the local roads isn't it?

Commute offroad – crank turning at 05.50 am and return home 20.00 pm
