The Leigh Woods/Ashton Court trails are very wet but perfectly rideable.

3 hours in driving wind and rain riding around Leigh Woods, 50-Acre Wood and Ashton Court.

The first hour was great fun. The second hour was bearable. I couldn’t feel my feet for the last hour. Maybe the booze and lack of sleep last night didn’t help…

I got a TRX kit on offer from Play.com last year. I ended up paying about £80.

EDIT: you can probably get cheaper versions. Just search for Suspension Training

I rode Leigh Woods, 50-acre Wood and AC yesterday morning. It was wet but not slippy or claggy. I didn’t venture off the machine made stuff though.

    Edit: for the pedant(s)

That’s why I always insist on helicopter transfers. Bloody riff-raff!

I’d like to think my slow progress this morning was all down to taking extra care in slippery conditions. In reality, it was down to cheese and mince pies.

All cheeses have their place and time, except gouda with cumin. That’s just rank.

Have you tried a mature komijnekaas? Creamy, salty, cumin-y goodness. Yum.

    That’s a worry box fish , there’s a Nic on the front…..

Yeah. I thought the nobblier Nobby would perform better on the front when things got sticky.

I just didn’t get on with it at all. Even tried reversing it to see if that made any difference.

Open your cheese mind. Embrace the dairy diversity.

Gouda with cumin seeds in it is a favourite of mine.

I found them more predictable than Nobby Nics when things get slippery

    I now have a cheese-and-chutney dilemma…

Cheeses: Blue Shropshire, Manchego, Cheddar, and some sheep’s milk cheese
    Chutneys: Plum or Spicy fig
Crackers: Standard Cream or chilli flatbreads
Refreshment: LBV Port or Cornish Cider

I’m thinking Cream Cracker with blue cheese and spicy fig with a glass of port

    Or

Chilli flatbread with Manchego and plum with a nice glass of glider.

Aside from the swiss cheese nature of the freehub… …They are tough

    Make your mind up! 😉

I also fell hook, line and sinker for the original Iodines. I’d like to think I was an “early adopter”, but the reality is that I was just a gullible, marketing-man’s dream customer. Inevitably, the freehub exploded soon after. They were repaired under warranty and I got shot.

In a big money move away from Welsh rugby, songster, comedian and ex-Dallas Cowboys replacement kicker, Max Boyce has signed in a big money deal to Toulon. Local media have reported the move with the headline “Max Pour Toulon: 100 Millions” however the exact sum is shrouded in mystery.

Roger Lewis, was interviewed in his secret underground, volcanic ninja-training base, stated that this was a great opportunity for Welsh rugby and just underlines how vital it is that we play Australia a further three more times next year, during the half time intervals of the Six Nations matches. The news is a further blow to supporters of the 4 ‘Regions’ as they have so far this year, already lost Ioan Gryffydd, Gareth Bale, Gelert and Kylie Minogue to foreign based clubs.
