Going tuberless. Riding is much easier without carrying a bag of potatoes.

I use an old crown race on top of the crown race to be fitted and whack with large flat screwdriver/hammer combo.

Scientologists. Door-knocking god botherers. Rabid atheists. Anyone who tries to tell me 'how it really is'.

I'll brainwash myself, thank you very much.

Thanks for the confirmation and I'm glad that derailleurs are not self-aware…

Maxxis Larsen TT LUST for the (brief) summer and/or well-drained trail centres. Panaracer Trailraker UST for the winter.

Both used with sealant, fit fine on Mavic 819 rims and inflate with a track pump. As far as longevity is concerned, both sets of tyres have lasted 2 years. The Larsen rear tyre is showing signs of wear but should last another summer.

I guess though that it all depends on where you ride, how often you ride and how you ride!

There are two sets of keys to my garage.
My set and my spare set.
It's an effective way of keeping her out.

I thought the Russians had admitted it was a (failed) missile test?

    Just apply Deep Heat pre-ride.

Had major condensation problem with my garage roof (corrugated, painted metal). Somedays it was almost raining with condensation inside the damn thing!

Sorted with polystyrene. 50mm thickness was probably overkill, but it worked.

Also on a replacement pair of Endura 3/4s. I'm afraid that despite following the care instructions to the letter, it's the second pair that leave me with a damp arse. Not what you expect when chucking £100 at a pair of waterproof shorts.

"Why do you need more than one bicycle?"

I usually respond with another question: Why do you have more than one pair of shoes?

Got fed up with HTII bearings dying. Went back to square taper (UN52). It was also an excuse to get a shiny Middleburn crankset 🙂

If I'm solo riding at night, I use my brightest (HID) light. When I'm off-road with my buddies, or riding on the road, I take a more 'sociable' light which doesn't spoil things for eveyone else.

The alternative mount does away with the silly little metal bar. OK, you can't mount the light directly in the middle of the bars but the light does stay put, even when riding off-road.

Yup. Exactly the same problem here.

Solved by buying a different mount from CRC (stock no. 13174) for £1.50.
