Eyes peeled in BS7/BS1. Was going to suggest the Bristol Stolen Bikes website but I see you’ve already sorted it.

700c – Bontrager Racelite Hardcase. Cheap and extremely puncture proof in my experience

In 50 years someone, somewhere will stumble across it in a museum and think

“Hmmm, can’t imagine why that didn’t catch on”.

Are you talking about the sick-coloured bars? I had a set of those and the kevlar wrap did have some greyish discolouration where it overlapped. Nothing to worry about (unless you’re a tart).

Deliverance is my pick of the Opeth back catalogue. Saw the Heritage tour last year – brilliant stuff.

Tesco Granola Tray Bake thing. Cheap, cheerful and full of sugary badness.

I bought a set of DTSwiss forks from a German seller last year. They were good to go straight out of the box when they arrived.

I think regular custom can go a long way to help in this situation. If the seller knows you, and that you’ve already put alot of business through the tills, then they may recognise that a few quid off your potential bike purchase may encourage you to keep coming back.

I think it’s a bit much to wander into a shop for the first time and expect a sizeable discount. Good luck whatever!

Bromley Bikes may be able to get you the parts you need – they’re a CK Service Centre.

Now I like rocky trails, and I like smoother trails, but which is best?

Nah. Bucket and soapy sponge, with a standard hosepipe for rinsing.

I’ve used a 9spd Ultegra cassette on an MTB hub without any problem

OP – I agree with you. The natural trails have been replaced by a single-lane, super-smooth, BMX-style pump-n-berm track. I made similar disgruntled noises a while back on another thread but, apparently, these trails are what everyone wanted…

However, I’m sure that new cheeky trails will spring up in Leigh Woods much like they are starting to again in 50-Acre Wood after the recent forestry work.

    Bah.

    Tubeless for 5 years.

Have used UST rims and Stans Rims (with yellow tape).
    Always used UST tyres.
Always used a track pump to seat the tyre with no problems.
Have had several punctures and all have sealed (eventually).

As to whether it’s worth it, only you can decide that. I wouldn’t go back to using tubes offroad.

Stretching is always good but don’t overdo it.

If possible, try alternating a heat pack/ice pack on the affected area. It may help improve ciculation to the affected area and reduce inflammation. I find this effective when my lower back pain/sciatic pain kicks off.

I paid for next day delivery by 1pm when placing an order on 15th Dec. It arrived yesterday…

When I called to chase the order, they refunded the postage cost and apologised profusely. I think they underestimated order numbers for Christmas?

Was in by 7.15 this morning so missed the first deluge of the day…

The skyscapes from my office window looking towards Totterdown/Dundry have been awesome though.

If you cant ride a 3 foot drop off, I dont think you can call yourself a mountain biker.

That is willy waving of the highest order.

Back in the day, if you said to someone you were a mountain biker, they would think of you as a bit of a tough guy (but cool with it aswell)

    😆 😆 😆
