The accumulated points difference of a Welsh loss and an English win must exceed 38 points.

e.g. Wales lose by 20, England win by 19 and England take the Championship

    Again, I think…

    EDIT wot ^he^ said

Out of interest, If Wales really are that good … they should have mullered England

Show how well England played, and how Wales have become more resilient, largely through improved fitness. There’s not a huge gulf between the two sides. Anyone who believes differently is kidding themselves.

    Anyone got a tidy synopsis?

Wales can win a Grand Slam, or a Championship, or nothing
England can win a Championship, or nothing

    I think that’s it?

It’s a bit of a disservice to say that they depend solely on Farrell

I suppose if Hodgson comes on, England may score a try through the backs. 😉

Match of the weekend should be Ireland-Scotland. I think the home side will shade it by a score. Both teams are due a good game, that’s for sure. Fitness wise, I think the Scottish pack may have an advantage but I expect Ireland to have built a big enough lead by the time it becomes a factor.

In Paris, a lot will depend on how the French half-packs perform. The pack should win them plenty of ball, and if the backs can (be bothered to) concentrate for the whole game, they will win. This assumes of course that the whole team plays with disciplne, else Farrell will keep England in the game. If England do a “Brian Moore” and get under the French skin, we could see a collective Gallic shrug of disaffection, and England may triumph.

No one can see past a win for Wales tommorow. I’m inclined to agree but Wales have to play with intensity for 80 minutes or they could find themselves looking a bit silly. At least a yellow card each per team should make it interesting.

You cannot stop them, just slow them down. Despite ripping off a steel re-inforced, 4-hinged, multi-point locking garage door, my ground anchor and chain were too strong for the individuals who nicked my bike. They just sawed through the frame.

The servicing for them does seem a right pain, even if you can get hold of spokes. Adjusting/replacing a spoke apparently involves the repeated use of a heat gun!

I’m not really considering getting a set, I was just wondering if they lived up to the hype (very stiff). The wheels require a dedicated (and expensive) toolset for servicing spokes. Either that or you have to send off your wheel for a new spoke! Seems ridiculous.

    <bike tart mode>They do look nice though</bike tart mode> 😀

Just watched the programme. It was balanced in the sense that it clearly exposed both protagonists for the idiots that they are. Anyone with an ounce of sense must be able to see that these foolish, potentially dangerous men are misguided and mistaken.

They both seem to like shouting a lot, too.

7 years is pretty good. Mine cracked in the same place after 18 months. Well worth contacting Whyte though to see what they say. I had a replacement arrive within 3 or 4 days.

I picked up a £40 pair of 2.3″ Specialized Eskar2 tyres at Evans in the centre a few weeks back. Running them tubeless, I have been impressed with them so far in a variety of conditions. They’ve coped well with a muddy 50-Acre Wood and roll quite well on the new man-made stuff. They were even pretty good run at lower pressure on a snowy Mendips ride this month.
