I live in hope of seeing my stolen bike locked up somewhere in Bristol, securing it with an additional extra-strong lock, then staking it out.

After alerting the authorities, of course…ahem.

I always check if I’m being followed now.

Both, I think. Given the level of top-endbike theft at the moment, it has to be a co-ordinated group of people. My theory is two-part:

    1. Some of the thieves ride bikes and follow unsuspecting riders home

    and

    2. The registration numbers of visitors driving their bikes to AC are noted and someone somewhere with access to a database can provide addresses for the car owners.

It’s a big problem that is not just confined to garages/sheds. These people are willing to break into occupied houses. At some point, things are going to escalate beyond theft/burglary.

We must respect the other fellow’s religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart.

    In summary then

So there I was struggling…grit my teeth, arms wobbling, red face, take the strain…….Screamed like a girl, my big hole was then set about, finished off with a good dose of muc.

It’s interesting how some of the names are pretty much universally known/used – Picnic Bench, Knicker Trail, Rocky Horror

That’s kind of my point: they are not universally known by these names.

    Well done. Good for you.

    Thanks.

Have you tried leaving the tube in for a few hours/overnight?

Had to do this last week with a brand new set of tubeless ready Schwalbes. I also needed to remove the valve cores before maniacally inflating with a track pump.

rocky horror, the drop of mild peril, the rice bowl

Not heard of any of those. A bit like when people started mentioning the Knicker Trail. The what? Oh, you mean that bit of steep stuff over there…

Been riding Leigh Woods trails for 20+ years. We never named trails, other than

    “Leigh Woods,
    “that bit by the barn”,
    “the switchbacks”,
    “the stream crossing”,
    “garlic valley”
“the one that goes up to the left by the car park and then turns right down the hill across the path and down through that other middle bit with the pond in that gets a bit sketchy when it’s damp”

    etc

400mm length post for me every time. I want at least 100mm of post below the top tube/down tube interface.

    EDIT: but then I am a short-arse

ATB were great when my Whyte 19 broke after 18 months.

Spesh Eskar2 2.3s are on a par with the RQ Black Chilli. Much cheaper too.

surely one of the easier slams to get as the rest of teh sides were fairly below par.

Yawn. Predictable comment. You hear it every time a team wins a Slam.

    Great performance by Wales.

I have some of the QR15 XMC130s. They’ve been faultless. That said, I am about to sell them…but £300 from CRC is a snip.

Nice Jiffy compilation! Pity most of it was league though. 😉

Really looking forward to tomorrow. In the pub from 11.30, all 3 games, plenty of beer, some food, lots of laughs and good company.

    Come on Wales!

I’ve had occasional back spasms for the last 10 years. Painful to the point where I can’t stand straight, or it takes a while to force myself up.

Everyone is of course different, but I have a set routine for dealing with it.

    1. Keep moving, even if it hurts. My job is sedentary so not great for the back.

    2. Stretching every day. Plus a bit of core exercise.

    3. Hot bath followed by ice pack followed by more gentle stretching.

    4. If it hasn’t settled down in 24 hours, get some acupuncture. Works for me.

    5. Keep moving…

OP I feel your pain. I changed my commute to a mellow 20 minute pootle through backstreets and cycle paths, thus avoiding most of the eejits.

I had a Cotic Soda for 3.5 years. It was great until it cracked.

I had Brodie Holeshot Ti for 5 months. It was great until it was stolen.

I’ve got those Kef iQ10s wired to a Marantz PM6002 amp. Paid about £400 for that set up a couple of years ago to mainly listen to vinyl on a Project Debut 3 deck. It’s all “entry level” stuff, I suppose, but it sounds great.

Any one able to offer a pointer?

You should be able to achieve that with a Common Table Expression (CTE) Query.

Google search for “SQL CTE”. The first link returned is the MSDN page with a good example.

Yep. Never used it. In fact, it’s been at the bottom of my bag for so long, I’d better check it’s still viable.

Can we not get rid and have the old style scrums with no pushing till the ball comes in? I dont get it

Neither do I. A lot of people would like to see a return to this, but apparently the risk of broken necks is higher? I played in the front row before these huge hits came in but I fail to see how they are somehow safer.
