I fitted mine this morning and have just spent the last hour riding up the steepest, iciest hills I can find. 😀

Bloomin’ draggy on the road, mind!

Watching this on the Discovery Channel at the mo. He seems somewhat deluded by his own tapestry of lies and intimidation.

No matchmakers. Shifter clamp set about 5mm outboard from the Tech lever clamp.

Have used them a fair bit in the last year or so. I don’t recall having waited more than 4 days for any order.

If it’s for icing, you could make a template from something and use a sharp knife to cut around it?

Most of the cyclists made it in today. Most of the rest didn’t. Slackers, the lot of ’em!

Well, I bit the bullet and a black 2012 5-spot landed on my desk this morning. Got that bike-build feeling again. Woohoo! 😀

As well as neck and shoulder stretches, after a long ride I use a firm foam-roller on my shoulders/ base of my neck. Google “The Grid foam roller”. It definitely helps break down tight spots for me.

Did the W2 last weekend. Everything was open, except the toilets when we got back to the car park…doh!

Mmmm, purdy cullers. Very attractive wheels. These days though, I’m put off by proprietary spokes/ other components. The cost/hassle factor of obtaining replacements I means I CBA.

Well, just got back to Bristol from Cannock so I thought I’d share my impressions…ow’s about that then…

Was on the road at 7.15 and watched the thermometer steadily drop to zero as a snowy Birmingham loomed. Luckily the northern side of Brum was dry and brighter. The journey was only 1h 45m which compares well with a Bristol-Afan trip. The Cannock trail centre was easy to find and the cup of tea from the cafe was welcome on arrival (as was the change for the parking charge of £3). The car park was pretty busy by 9.30 when we set off for Follow The Dog/Monkey. I really enjoyed the twisty, wooded singletrack. It was unsurprisingly slippy on the pebbly trails but it wasn’t too bad at all. The red-graded runs had a nice mix of up and down, with a few lumps and bumps to keep it interesting and enable some sick air…arf. I was pleased by the relative lack of fire road climbs. I’d rather keep it interesting and gain elevation via singletrack, if possible. A couple of the more fun sections were repeated for extra grin factor. 😀

All in all, a good first impression. To keep costs down, next time I’ll drag some mates along from Bristol to share the fuel cost (about £35). Today certainly won’t be my last trip to Cannock!

My one time boss once questioned why my outbound/inbound bus journeys to/from the railway station were not the same, as if I was trying to swindle the company out of 70p.

    His book was good.
    His cheating was very bad.
His book wouldn’t have been so good if he hadn’t cheated.
I feel like a sucker for buying it knowing he was a cheat.
At least I read the LA books in good faith…
