    I think I may be becoming STWer-ist.

I genuinely never heard of the word “slope” as an ethnic slur before: I just had to look it up.

I now think we should petition the IOC to change the name of the Slopestyle event to “mucking about on the side of a hill”.

    Edit: 8)

Me neither. I bought a Brodie Holeshot from him. Seemed like a nice chap who was just running PB as a sideline.

I think Progressive Bikes is a failed experiment.

It can matter. Depends how much thread you have on your spokes, I believe. It will probably be fine. With the 14 mm nipples, I generally use 1 mm shorter spokes.

Yeah, currently not feeling the love for off-road riding. Just happy doing my 12 mile commute. I’m sure It will come back eventually. Not done a great deal since October.

People a few doors up the road objected to our plans to build a single-storey extension at the back of our place because “it would spoil our view”. Your view of what? Our house? Needless to say, their objections were ignored. 😀

Can’t believe no one’s mentioned the final episode of Blackadder Goes Forth

Ground Control S-works 2.1s here, front and back, tubeless style on my hardtail. I think they roll very well, and find them predictable in most conditions. I leave them on all year round.

That’s the first time in 42 years that I’ve heard such blasphemy… ❓

Aye, but money well spent if it works. I’ve had great results from sports massage for neck/shoulder pain. The treatment itself hurts, a lot, but within a couple of days things settle down again.

Edit: inevitably in true STW style, someone will be along soon to rubbish sports massage

We have that Bosch ^ up there. I am told it cleans clothes very well 😀

It’s fairly quiet too, which is good in my book.

Hut by a lake in the forest. Beers in the sauna, run down the jetty and swim naked in the cooling water under the Milky Way. Catch fish for your barbecue supper.

    What a holiday that was.

Helsinki was a bit meh. Finland however is bloody gorgeous.

Tour de Zummerzet a few years back. 55 miles, 7 pints, 2 meals & no crashes.

    Edit: all cider, too. 😳

My old dear picked up a brooch for £1.50 at a car boot sale. Turned out to be white gold and diamonds… valued at £2k.

    Did it affect steering boxfish?

Oh yes. Makes the front end very heavy. Didn’t try any wheelies, put it that way. I liked the idea of having little ‘un where I could see her, plus she got a much better view. I have shortish legs for my height and never had any issues with knee room. However, the lankier among us may not be so lucky.

    Had a Soda, broke it.
Had a Brodie Holeshot, some ****er sawed it in half to steal it.
Have had a Van Nic Yukon for 7 years. Lovely bike to ride which I cannot envisage selling.

If it secures the future of the youth club, then why not. Broad Plain Boys Club has a long history of helping kids better themselves.

We were in that London for 3 days last week. Did The Eye, London Aquarium and a day at The NH museum. All were excellent.

One word of advice, if you can book stuff in advance, do it. We saved hours of queueing/waiting time by doing this.

Yep, converted my Van Nicholas Yukon to flat bars plus bar ends to create The Super Commuter!

I flogged the Ultegra 6600 drivetrain and fitted Shimano R780 levers, SPDs and a 1×10 (44t x 11:36) transmission. To further the sacrilege, I put mudguards on it, plus a Deuter frame bag. I love it. Must post a photo so the flaming can commence!
