Mine used to be very adept that finding trail side logs left by riders in Leigh Woods

How did you divine that said logs were left by riders? Is there some sort of course you can go on? Bristol stool chart, anyone?

“Ah, yes. I can see from the nobbles on this one that it’s been deposited by a gnarr-core mince-lite all-mountain-er.”

Not sure about nematodes. The pitch looks like it’s mole-infested.

Ty Seren B&B in Dolgellau. Top breakfast. Secure storage for bikes. Nice rooms with en-suite showers. Run by a nice couple. 2 minutes from the pub and curry house.

After the website downgrade, I just stopped using them altogether. Also noticed the inability to unsubscribe…

With my MiL, it’s the repetition. Her short-term memory is not great due to the painkillers, anti-depressants and alcohol…

There was a shop in Bristol on Gloucester Road that used to sell all manner of trick bits for “Scalextric”

Nobby’s Hobbies by any chance? There was also Model Highways on the other side of the road.

Both establishments are now sadly gone but received most of my hard-earned paper round money as a kid in the 80s. I bought a Scelextric loop-the-loop there which never really delivered what was illustrated on the box.

I’d rather have a Racing Ralph on the front.

I replaced a worn out Racing Ralph with a new Nobby Nic and reached the same conclusion. Sketchy tyres! The RR were more predictable in the wet.

You need to add £70 to that Tweeks price as the cranks are priced without BB or chainring

Break in and remove all their doors.

This was my favourite suggestion, until

seal his flat so it is airtight and then pump in warm moist air so that the wood expands and his doors jam and don’t close properly.

With our starting pack I believe we should edge the scrum & breakdown. Not so confident about the line out but if AWJ stays on, we should be OK. If Hibs can throw straight (and the roof stays closed!), Warbs may be used a bit more at the tail.

Backs-wise, Habana has some form and du Preez is class. However, if we kick from hand well and chase better, we have a very capable trio at 10-12-13 who can make things happen.

That may not tally with your understanding of rugby, but it’s an understanding nonetheless.

Physically we are a match for them. Mentally, we can only beat ourselves.

Ah, you old romantic you. I believe we have a side capable of beating SA on Saturday. That’s also based on an understanding of rugby. 😉

I dont think you understand the term “peak”

    No, of course I don’t.

Ever heard of the phrase, “Form is temporary, class is permanent”?

Maybe you should have more faith in the current Welsh squad? You seem to play down Welsh chances. It’s almost like you are hedging your bets.

I like the ritual of vinyl but I also like the convenience of digitally stored music. I tend to rely on the latter when I have company but like to session the former when I have a spare evening to myself.

My team at work have our monthly “Team Eating” in a Wetherspoons. Full English and a cup of fresh coffee for about four quid.

The bacon does taste a bit steaky though…don’t think they ever wash down the grill…

Yep. Been riding the wider XC rims for around 18 months. They have taken all sorts of abuse without issue.

Nothing special used to build them up. Just made sure the spoke holes had a light oil on the inside surface so the nipples would turn easily. I do this with alu rims too.
