Cannondale caadx 105 for £999 from Edinburgh bike when you call or email them.
It’s a quality frame that can race or do the hipster gravel stuff.

It did this with mine too, I ended up with a couple more turns on the b tension screw than would seem required when the bike is in the workstand and it has been perfect for the last few months.

91 Citroen bx with 195k bought for £300 with full service history a year ago.
I replaced belts, front tyres and a couple of radiator hoses for a cost of £90 and put 12k on it this year, failed the mot on a ball joint, £13 for the part and £20 for the special tool resulted in a fresh years ticket.

It all depends on how much work you are prepared to do yourself.

continental explorer tyres also fit well and are cheap. i know they are not a current stw favourite but they work pretty well for kids.

Senditnow.com are the online only branch of parcel force. Next day delivery including collection for £13.50, insurance is a cheap extra.
I have used them a number of times and had no problems.

I have a force 10 catalyst 400 down bag that is pretty good, I sleep warm anyway but have happily used it all year round.

£139 brand new on eBay at the moment.

Yeah any of the medium cage mechs work fine, they don’t even need much b tension adjustment.
The short cage ones will make the shift but can’t take up enough chain slack when in the higher gears.
The medium cage mech and 11-42 is quite a common conversion for customers in the shop I work in.

Any SRAM 10 or 11 speed rear mech work with any SRAM 10 or 11 speed sti.

I run a 44t hope narrow wide chainring, sunrace 11-42 cassette, SRAM apex sti and x9 medium cage clutch mech. It worked flawlessly during the dirty reiver on my whyte saxon cross and has continued to do so since.

It easy to remove the redundant shift lever from the left hand sti as well, although I am considering puting it back in without the pawl so in can use it to control a dropper seat post.

Mattoc forks can be set to either 26″ or 27.5 with the parts that come in the box, there is 4mm trail difference in the crown between the two versions.
I bought an set of 26 mattoc pro and converted to 27.5 150mm travel for my bfe.
I’m tempted by a irt kit to make the air spring dual stage but they are really good anyway.

Senditnow is parcel force, I sent a bike offshore on a 48 hour delivery and it was still only £13, all tracking was through the parcel force website.

The box dimensions were pretty good compared to most as well, up to 1.5 m long and up to 3m for height + length + width. Weight up to 30kg as said above.

I use one on my cross bike, 44t narrow wide on the front and a medium cage x7 clutch mech.
Shifting is worked perfectly for the dirty driver and continues to do so for the daily commute and various wonder where that goes? Trails in the woods.

the tektro lyra brakes on my genesis day one did this whenever the pads got low, not a recognised problem according to the tektro importers.
