I have had a tyre that kept on failing on a ride and could find nothing inside. In the end I found it was a small flint on the outside that poked through occasionally when inflated and being used. So check the outside too.

Did you prime the fuel system like I mentioned last time. It will at least rule out/confirm the lines arn't draining back. Peugoets/Citreons used to do this regularly as did izuzu's

I thought it was ok on Saturday, (considering) was nice yesterday. I'd say go for it and prepare me for doom on Wednesday night.

I thought unburnt fuel was black. Do a compression check if you think the compressions are down, check the glowplugs older psa engines had problems with them burning away and dropping compression. How does it go when running? if the compressions are well down then surely the power would be down too. If the smoke is white is it not coolant. I don't think low oil level would cause ring wear straight away and was the oil light on? The bottom end would get damaged first.
Another idea would be to pump the primer before you start the car when cold to make sure you have fuel available, those hand pumps can fail and let air into the fuel, this causes bad starting.

If Henman was so "shit" at tennis how come he won so much in prize money, wasn't he also second in the world rankings for a while?

I wish I was as good as him at at anything.

Did come across as a bit boring but then again Sampras wasn't excactly a bundle of laughs.

Maybe (as someone mentioned) being a world class athlete takes a different mindset to all us MTB experts on here?

I think you will find that a diesel emits less CO2 than a gasoline one. I am also quite sure that the company car tax is higher for diesels to account for this.

I have used a large torx bit on ohv fords when they have had plugs (tapered seat) siezed. Bang it in and unwind. I think the shock of the hitting may help. If it doesn't work what have you lost, the head would have to come off anyway.

I'd like a cheeky circuit near Mortimer, there really isn't too much around. Not that fussed over a bit of damp.

different grade of diesel perhaps. Winter fuel is less dense.

[i think the worst diesel availible is what one would get if you filled up in india, but i dont know why i think that. must have read is somewhere.

you can't even burn it in multifuel stoves, i think spring water has a higher octane content

    cetane for diesel

My shift plan was changed and the management turned me from an I'll get it done (coz I get every other Friday off) type of guy working silly hours, into, I'll get it done but I will get the extra in OT or lieu. In fact it started off with just lieu time which gave me more than every other Friday off. I now claim for every hour of OT I work as it has impinged on my work life balance (I don't earn enough to make that worthwhile). Now which party have lost out to that scheme?

I would have thought that most slowing down symptoms would point to a valve stem seal problem although if the shaft on the turbo is worn you would get the same symptom. I think Mr Cheesyfeet it right and guessing isn't the way to go, sorry. Checking the play on the shaft isn't too hard. If the shaft is worn the the oil would be drawn straight into the turbo. Might be worth having the exhaust dropped to see how much oil is in the exhaust. It would appear to be reasonably common sadly.

Most road car discs warping problems are due to unreleaved stresses in the disc when it is made. The heat then causes the disc to reshape itself (minimally). Very similar to using a used engine block for a high power rebuild.
