Heath warren has been more than a little ruined by motorbikes, used to be just enough but all the nice (not a lot) stuff now have gouges down them which is a shame. Minley isn’t far from there, thats ok, or a proper pedal gets you to area 51 which is ok.

Or even the tyres ability to “shed” water, If the tyre can’t get rid of it the tyre loses contact with the road. :)

Aygo, Jazz, Yaris in my house. Dull as dull but who really cares.

I have had a zero tr and have a 145, all you really need to do is try one then you will know. I’ve had the Aeris for 2.5 years I have broken a chainring and chain I have replaced bb headset bearings and a derailleur. I think that is pretty good seeing that it is ridden badly everywhere in all conditions.
As mentioned above it does seem to save the rider from “oh my god” mistakes.
    Give it a go.

Replaced mine with a hope one. Guess it will be better.

Mine lasted 200 miles… raceface version. Not impressed. Nothing mad. Bit of Ridgeway, 1 dry Peak ride and some bimbling. Not fit for purpose.

I was quite surprised that my local shop trued my wheel for £7.50. Might be worth it if you are “having a go”. There is opportunity for embarrassment if you haven’t done it before.

    Just remember this.
If your parents bring up your children they will turn out the same as you (to a point)

that can’t be good? Can it?

My parents sorted this by both dying within a year of my firsts birth.
My wife tried to beat this with her mum dying 10 years earlier.
Her Dad doesn’t acknowledge any of his grandchildren

    not much sympathy here!

So it must be you! You managed to blag it when we were tracked by the police helicopter with its spotlight on us many years ago.

Is there a reason why you can’t demo? They are pretty good for that.
fwiw I’m 6 foot on a large 145, as someone else mentioned, downhill and being silly they are fab, pedalling flat stuff is hard work. (road work is really awful, not really what it is for but it happens)
I assume the AM9 is similar , I’d demo ride them all, 145, am9 etc

I’ve sent a mail to them, thought a test borrow would be better than a 300 mile round trip. I’ sure cotic will reply too, just trying more than one option.

Hi Ruth, As ever it is best to try as many as possible, I have a Bird Aeris which is as happy in the Alps as Peaslake as Swinley, not the lightest but easy to demo and not too far from Peaslake either. £3500 on a Bird would give you some lovely gear too.

    Demo A Bird

Mine’s the most composed bike I have ridden.

Right, anyone got a Solaris I could play on? Near Reading / Swinley…

Thanks for the replies all, not fussed about 27.5 +, I have ridden the Bird, med ium and large but not the Cotic, also have a 145, I wanted something that should be quicker around the Chilterns and Swinley, the 145 can cope with everything else.

My chumba hx1. 650b + or 29 apparently .I ran it as a 26 s/s. Not as long as the bird but was pretty good really.

My wife has convinced many, children and adults, that she was a “guitarist” in the Robert Plant video. :)

Even to the point of playing video and them guessing which one she is……………..

Hope you all enjoyed that, I was on the Bird :) . Apologies to Dez , you probably the right call it got quite soggy towards the end, hope your boy is ok. Good effort from all, especially the guy on the Cotic that hadn’t ridden for 6 months.

Good christening for a new car ……………

It was 60 years ago, fairly irrelevant safety-wise, bloody good watch though.

Just think how everything has improved if you want to be miserable about it.

It’s Swinley, a hardtail is fine, actually a singlespeed is fine.  HTH.

My son used to race them, I think parents used to be able to go round with the younger ones.

Lots of patience and encouragement is required,

    but not always evident………………….

    It’s supposed to be fun….

Wish I could keep up with my dog downhill……. or uphill…………on the flat.

Were you racing or late for a meeting?

If you are “really” interested I’d have a chat with a solicitor.

    I don’t think you are.

Last bloke I saw hitting a dog got me asking his son if he did it to him too?

    That went down well.

    Chill out a bit
