I had a tendon debridement with an Entesophyte and Hagland excision then reattachment with a speed brace.
I’m 6 months in and have started an old man jogging program, I can bike ok but am only on week 2 of the running.
It aches a lot but is getting better.
I have been “the perfect” rehab patient apparently? I guess this means I want to get better.
Strength is fine stopping and starting again is the problem.
    Hope yours is doing well.

I have some history on the bone spur issue, if that is the case just stop until you have had a scan. I am in month 8 of recovery after having it lopped off.
    I hope its not that.
Go see a proper person I had years of stretching off a step pre scan then got “do not do this, the bone is cutting into the achillesand the producing more scar tissue than achilles”
    Good luck

Or you could use the tax band CO2 value, for a minimal value although building a car uses energy too and getting the fuel out of the ground and to the garage etc etc

I put some cheap bearings in a 350 to see how long they would last, took the out a week later, notchy and horrible.
To be fair the two decent ones cost more than the whole set f&r.
As a test it was pretty conclusive.

I think it depends on damage to fork, bearing location etc, could be a couple of hundred or so….

If you are getting the frame from Bird I’d give them a shout, they are really helpful and know a lot more than us. That said, I’d get the headset and a new shock from bird.
If you are getting the long travel version the forks will be shorter than the rear travel, the longer travel ones also tend to have a bit more pedal contact due to the lower bb height.
LT says 130 to 140mm travel up front.
Headtube length on the bird is m 110mm, medium long and large is 120mm.
I found with my TR hardtail the “cheap” forks didn’t keep up with the bike at speed, great for pootling but when trying they got confused!! :) I found with longer travel it absolutely flew.
    Have fun.

I’ve had a brief play on one, it was too small for me but seemed to do well. I tore a rear tyre about 5 miles in so had to walk home. Climbing was good and i could tell it rode lighter than my 145. Didn’t like the new pike at all, but would put my helm on it and I hadn’t really played enough. Didn’t seem as planted as the 145 but once again the right size and a bit of dicking about would probably sort it. Dan has a selection now so give him a bell and go play. I’m broken now but would have tried the large if I wasn’t. Have fun.

For gaskets to seal the faces need to be clean, really clean, this may help. Vaseline in my experience,e when I have built engines (yes really) was to help get the gasket off when re stripped. (my builds were for oil/ fuel test purposes)

I’ve found the hunt trail wide to be lacking, went out of true from new, now looks like I ride rock gardens most of the time, rims bend with a stern look. I’ve only got a Solaris and bimble round the Chilterns.

Is it the piston or wheel that is seized, I had one and found letting some fluid out helped on the latter. May not be the issue though.. If it is does he want some pads? I still have 3 pairs..
