I have used Liberon floor sealer on our floor, once again used as a walkway, did three or so coats and am glad to say I have no wear problems at all (bar the sofa coaster falling apart and leaving a screw sticking out) Gave it a coat of the Liberon wax afterwards to make it extra slippy, that has now worn off but the floor still looks great. Just about to do the same again in a different room. Use a little at a time and don’t rush. Also your knees will hurt. I found that if you wet (I guess white spirit would do the same) the floor unsealed you would need to rub it down as the wood fibres seem to swell. Makes for a very smooth piece of wood. Wood floors are great.

I don’t think an LX cassette would be to good on an aluminium freehub. As you won’t be able to use the other cheaper ones coz it will be stuck.

Annoying steeper than-you-think ego deflating efforts usually failed (regularly) due to poor gear choice and an even smaller ego. :-)

If you use a socket make sure the new bearing will fit inside. A 12 point socket has more room than a 6 point one. Nothing worse than pushing the bearing onto rather than into a socket.

I’m 6′ and have a large Heckler, 18″ inbred I would try to have a go before you buy.

My induction hob stopped working during my cooking of the christmas dinner, well shorted out the house. I reckon some water got where it wasn’t supposed to. It will go if it does it again. Gas is good!
