Its almost as if there’s a pandemic about and people are all ordering online whilst postal and courier services are struggling to meet demand during an already seasonally hectic time. 7-8 days. Outrageous!

I enjoyed it. Quite thought provoking, but If you’re expecting Star Wars meets James Bond, look elsewhere.

Watched it and really enjoyed it. Didnt realise there were episodes last year though.

    Back to the proper stuff.

Glenmorangie 10yo for £25 on Amazon.

Possibly the best-balanced single malt out there IMO, textbook stuff.

I’m with you there chakaping. Lovely spicy, citrusy dram.

Yep, sounds like Reynaulds. They even go white when I walk through the chiller aisle in the Supermarket!

    Yes, I get that too!

The answer to your Reynaulds related issues is Nifedipine (from your GP). Been life changing for me since I was recommended trying it years ago. Nifedipine doesnt keep you warm. Your fingers still feel cold, but you wont lose the use of them.

In fact, Ive just gobbed one an hour and a half before I start work (outdoors/cold).

Damn it. Now I ‘need’ a stovetop coffee pot :-( :-)

EDIT* Ooh, Ive got a halogen hob, so maybe it wont work for me?

Have you considered something like the Zoom B1Xon and a decent set of headphones?

I hardly ever use my amp at home these days and love being able to play around with the sounds on the pedal as loud as I like, can plug in my iPod and play along too.

Thanks eskimonumber1. Its a good plan, but I just know Id get sick of wearing headphones to play after a while.

what’s the difference between a 25v3 and an LT?

The LT has the effects library

Hmmm, I find that I don’t need to plug the bass in when playing at home?

    Really?

    Thanks people.

Right now its either between the Fender Rumble 25 (what’s the difference between a 25v3 and an LT?) or an Orange Crush – all circa £150. The OC50 looks tasty but I just don’t want to go over the budget.

Can someone tell me what happened that led to that emotional clip?

OP I am looking at new TVs too – that Samsung looks good but cannot see any discounts from £1499 – have you found any deals?

    @Cletus
No I havent. Best price is as you say £1499. From Curry’s there’s sounbar discount options though.

Apparently (info sourced from AV Forums), if you (or a family member) have a blue light card (NHS, Police, Fire etc) you can get the 65″ Q80T for £1190 from the Samsung Shop. There’s no extended warranty, but 300 smackers cheaper.

..or black Friday is next month.

I’m a bit meh about the Planet X ones – perhaps they’re just not the right fit for me. Only done a short ish ride so far on it and the pad was fine on the bike for that. However they fit ok except below the knee where they seem a bit baggy. I was expecting a tight Lycra fit – my calves are fairly big I thought but clearly not enough for these to fit really snug. If I ever get back to commuting (in the winter) I’ll be using these I guess as they’ll at least keep my knees warmer.

I’m with joebristol. My findings exactly. Absolute bargain, but never feel like they really fit well. Find myself adjusting them during a ride an awful lot. I wouldnt buy another pair.

Current one is a 720p 42″ plasma with one HDMI – so, bigger screen, more inputs & a better def. And more modern.

OK great – thanks everyone. I’ve ordered a cheap removal tool & press off eBay for approx. £20 combined. I reckon with both of those it shouldn’t be too tricky & I’ll recover the cost almost immediately.

@mountainmonkey2.0 which one did you go for?

I tried one of those Planet X lids (a Carnac Croix SL Road with rear LED).

It’s OK (and very cheap), but coming from a medium Giro, I found the fit was a little odd. Like very ’round’ for my head.

    Stu,

I did my right clavicle in back in 2005 (I think) and doing the same thing – admiring the view and not concentrating on where I was going. I didn’t have the op (was advised there was a strong chance of infection – which I was glad to hear cos I’m a chicken) and I was back on the bike in around six weeks, albeit gingerly.

I could show you a pick of my collarbone now, though a pick wont do it justice, but it looks absolutely appalling! Worst ‘step’ you could imagine.

In hindsight I wish Id’ve MTFU and had the op, but you cant go back and to be fair I’m fine with it (it just looks sh1t).

If as you say youre still no nearer mending than the day it happened you seriously need to chase it up.

    Good luck!

I too need a new lid.

I’m a bit old school and prefer the road lids (like Giro Pneumo and the like) rather than the enduro style that seems to be the rage these days, but I’m fed up with constantly replacing the fragile Rocloc retention systems and the pads dont last five minutes.

Shame as Giro’s fit me well.

Yamaha wheels used to be the wrong way round as well.

I disagree. They’re the going in the flow of direction. If they were on the other way, that wouldn’t look right.

The front has a bit of life to be fair so Ill maybe go with a Chronicle on the back. The Chupa’s are pretty hopeless in mud too so I wouldnt risk one in the front.

Just searching online for a Chronicle at the moment..
