My GP4000’s needed replacing on my nice road bike too but I couldn’t put anything else on other than a fresh set of the same.

    Fabulous tyres,

Makes you wonder that if they can ship them across Europe for £185 after making profit on them, how much they actually cost Fox to manufacture!

Guy seems to rate the SC Chameleon highly along with the Fox 34 Rythmn’s.

I bought a pair of the 130mm from Germany and they arrived yesterday. They are incredible for the money, alas due to a mental reshuffle Ive decided a different frame with a shorter travel fork is in my future.

Ill almost certainly be selling/returning them. If your’e interested drop me a pm/email.

Ive not even took the wrapping off them.

    Cheers

Looks like the Fox 34 Rythmn’s are NOT travel adjustable :-(

    Asked Silverfish the question:

    Good Morning,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately the Rhythm Forx are not travel adjustable and so we cannot change these Forx I’m afraid

If you do have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me

    Kind Regards

Bit of a shame. I had hopes of reducing the 130 travel down to 100/110mm. Great forks & a bargain, alas too much for me.

I can’ chirp in with measurements, I just stick the wheel in & see how it looks.

When I got my Rooster I put Chuba’s in front & rear (on Hugo rims), but had to change the front to a Dirt Wizard immediately – zero grip in anything other than bone dry. Chuba’s roll well but grip when it aint dry? Forget it.

Wotcha me old mate. Hows tricks?

Not bad ta. Trying hard to re-generate enthusiasm, hence the new bike retail therapy. Been out of touch for a while and lots has changed! Not getting any fitter (or younger) and fancy something with gears now ;-)

/\ /\ Nice looking bike jad.

    Is that a Large?

Was seriously tempted by a Chameleon (which is why I ordered this fork), but now leaning towards a Stanton Sherpa.

Keep your eyes peeled for a used original ‘slidey’ Inbred 29er?

I still have mine (but still need it in my life).

I’ll be putting these on my 29+ soon but don’t fancy forking out £35 for the esi’s.

Which foam grips did you use Stedlocks?

Very kind of you rone. Cheers.

doncorleoni – Im running tubeless on the Rooster. Stans Hugo rims/Hope Pro 2 Evo. Bonty Chuba on the back, Surly Dirt front.

Hmm, Im getting the impression the rigid forks for the Stache aren’t up to much?

Not overly bothered about having suspension runnning plus tyres.

@rone – Ive exchanged a few emails with Michael. He’s always prompt to reply & offer advice (cant imagine the Trek Stache designer getting back to me too often ;-)), but want to explore my options before I hit the buy button. ideally Id like to demo both, but my location hinders a Travers test ride.

My snobby alter ego would always choose a classy & understated Ti over a mass produced ali (or carbon), but ultimately its down to how they ride. And the Stache does look interesting.

I suppose I’m trying to fathom whether it’s the big wheels that are baulking the handling or if the wheels are good but I need shorter chain stays.

I’m glad I chose Ultegra Di2 over mech DA, but Ive never found my rim brakes lacking.

For 4 big ones, Id be demanding Di2 on a tasty titanium frame.

So its do-able, and tbh, for reasonable cost. Bostin!

    Cheers folks.
