Though to confuse everyone even more, we’ve just released a Rigid option on the Big Dog.

Aah, would this be the Selcof Carbon 27.5+/29er Fork FOSEC27?

Are these available to stick in the basket along with a frame?

Just noticed the On One logo is upside down on one side!
    Are they all like this?

    That’s a limited edition.

    Rigid would be my choice.

    “Don’t buy anything yet.”

“They cannot even be bothered to take proper photographs. They’ll probably go rusty too. Infact they definitely will. Avoid – Do not buy one.”

All this reverse psychology makes my brain hurt.

    Was interested in this,

    …Until I spotted the On-One Current Project page (3/ Ti Inbred 29 Evo – 29er 120mm fork , big tyres)

Hmm. I wonder how long it will be before this project becomes reality?

Bugger. Now I want a Ti frame again :-(

Wide (800) bars killed my upper arms and left me in pain for hours after even a short ride.

Now on 760 (I think) Salsa bend bars with a bit of sweep. Theyre like a wider Ragley Carnegie.

Out of any bike Ive ever owned, my Ti frame was the best and its the bike I miss the most. Lovely to ride and nice and light.

What I don’t miss is the yearly warranty repair (yes – Lynskey)

Id buy another Ti again if I was riding more than I am at the moment and so could justify the cost of it. But I’d always be mindful of constant changes to geometry/components etc.

Ahh, sod it! Buy one and ride it :-)

Will this new Scandal take a rigid (carbon) fork?

I think back to the few months I had with my Next Gen Sherpa with fondness, alas for me, the chainstays were just too short. It was great at nearly everything, but I couldnt get on with it going uphill.

The OG bars look a little too high rise for me. A bit too upright.

Those Bends look ace, so think Ill go for them.

Hhmmm 17 or 23’s though? My Carnegies were 25 degrees but a bit narrower (685mm?). Im naturally drawn to the 23’s but I’m unsure how this would feel with a wider (740mm) bar.

I logged on to ask a very similar question, as the current trend of wide straight bars aren’t suiting me.

Coming from Ragley Carnegies – but needing just a little bit more width.

Those Salsa Bends look good, but where to buy from?

    Any other options?

Ive just bought an Oxford Mondial advanced jacket.

    http://www.oxfordproducts.com/motorcycle/brands/oxford/rider_wear/textile_jackets/oxford_mondial_advanced_jacket_tech_grey/

Laminated and looks & feels really lightweight, but Im stunned at how warm & comfortable I was in it. £250! Highly recommended. Bargain.

If you’re only doing 5000 miles a year consider a petrol over a diesel.

Short runs will have your filter clogging with a diesel.

Here you go….15.6 screen, upgrade to 480gb SSD, 8 GB ram, i5 processor for £350.

New that would have been a £1200ish machine.

Ordered (at spec you recommended) – £359 posted.

    Ace. Thanks again.

    Bindun.

    Sorry.

But why use the semi-ambiguous ‘billion’ and combine with a prefix?

    Really sorry.

It’s 24.9 petapixel, or 24.9 exapixel if you’re using the old US definition of a billion.

I hear ya. Forks are booked in (but as mentioned, awaiting the parts).

The steerer tube is uncut (until I get it where it’s right) and currently riding with 25mm spacers under the stem (and with a lofty headset crown – actually 50mm from bottom of stem to top of frame head tube).

I’ll keep it this way and see how things go a few rides in on the 120mm set forks.

    Cheers

Something that just hit me after writing the OP (in reference to the bars) is the angle my wrists are at. The Cotic straight bars are ..erm straight, whereas the Ragley Carnegies are tilting my hands inwards a few degrees. Previous to that I’ve always used On One Fleegles (again a subtle inward kink) and my Singular Rooster sports a Jones loop bar.

It may be that I’m having trouble adapting to the position the bars put my hands in rather than the width.

    Nah, I’m 6ft 1 (large frame).

I’ll definitely persevere, it’s just that I found the short stem so twitchy & nervous (actually that was me) and the bars gave my bingo wings a massive workout :-)
