it looks like you’ve got the rear adaptor the wrong way round which would lead to the top of the rotor rubbing the caliper itself. No re-aligning would fix that.

The arrow on the adaptor should point forwards.

Good spot. Blimey, I’m a ballbag.

    Cheers all.

Yeah, I can’t get it right. Give me IS mounts everyday.

I’ll have to admit defeat and take it to the LBS next weekend.

I’ll give that a whirl, cheers.

Also, I did wonder what benefit the washers actually provided. None it seems!

Put some low profile silicon grommets in there if you’re not going to use them ?

I’m gutted that the clean line of the top tube is interrupted by those two unsightly mount holes & screws.

I saw Alien in the cinema when it first came out (knowing nothing about it beforehand) and can confidently state I almost shat myself.

Years later it was on TV (pre video recorder days) and I was a little underwhelmed.  I think it was the 4.3 aspect ratio of our old telly in the eighties.

    This YouTube video confirms why:

Recently treated myself to this classic on 4K disc it was a bargain price too!

It’s a Singular Swift. Of course you shouldn’t sell it!

I’ve never used anything other than Time pedals.

Pair of XC4’s on the way thanks to this great PSA

    Cheers :)

I actually think cranks (+ chainring), headsets and seat posts (+ collar) look much classier in silver. In fact I wish more dropper posts were offered in silver. And yet I think handlebars should always be black (unless they’re Ti).

I thought 302: Bad Gateway was the new logo.

I really need to up my road bike tyre widths as the state of most of the roads, not to mention my aging knackered wrists/palms make extended rides quite uncomfortable these days.

Have an old Van Nic Zephyr Ti with Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheelset with Conti Gran Prix 4000s Mk2 (23cc).

I’m not entirely sure if those rims would take a 32mm tyre.

It’s the massive torque you’re putting through it with your Cancellara legs ;)

Sorry to hijack the post, but where are we getting Jones bars from these days?

Bothy Bikes seem to have good stock but aren’t particularly shy on pricing.

I love my Loops on the Rooster, but I’m old school (and just old) and so I’m on a 70mm stem.

I don’t think you need too short a stem on Jones bars though as they put your hands further back (but at a more comfortable angle IMO).

If you end up hating them, drop me a pm ;)

I’ve got bicycles for when I want to pedal and motorcycles for when I don’t.

    I’m sorted thanks.

Having previously owned an On-One/Lynskey, I also know all about the sadness of a cracked Ti frame :-(

Vittoria Cannoli come in 29*3.0 and can be had for a decent price on eBay – cheaper when you buy a few too.  I’ve not used on the front yet, but the TNT tubeless version is an excellent rear tyre.

Cheers paule – good price! I’ll give that a go.

My Dirt Wizard (front) is in need of replacement, but the prices shocked me!

Bonty XR2 & XR4’s. Is one a knobblier mud tyre?

    Oof! Nice pics there Vortex.

Yeah, I don’t wish to follow the NC500 route completely – rather nick a few of the good bits bits and leave out others (eg; leaving out the Eastern leg up to JoG on an anti clockwise trip).

Hmmmm… quite an increase over the old one.

And makes the likes of Stooge look extra value for money as they comes with a rather spiffing fork.

    Yep, same here.

I was beginning to nurture a fear about it being ‘jab’ related.

The trouble is, it’s not really DHL.

DHL Express would have your package from Germany in your hands next day (provided there are no customs issues), but of course cost more.

The DHL Parcel/Euro Paket you have coming from Bike Discount DE will probably be delivered by the post office or a similar cheapo carrier (with almost certainly zero tracking info).

I remember watching the first episode of series one and thinking how slick it was.

S2, was ok, s3 dropped a bit more and this one seems like a daft money grab.

Seriously, why are none of the main actors dead yet? They all been shot/stabbed.

Maybe a dumb question, but how do I check if my data on my current phone is synced to Google?

    I’m aiming for retirement when I’m 64 (6 1/2 years time)

I’ll see how I am financially but maybe do a few days work if they’re short staffed if I fancy it.
