yeah good advice. I'll actually be doing a 4 months course when she comes back anyhow on the 11th october. I was going to get that week off to see her but i'm not sure weather it's worth having the whole week off now. Do you think i should just get one day off so that we can chat? or just leave it, don't book the time off ans if she really wants to chat, she can come and find me in Llangollen?

Thanks for the advice people. I think most of you are right. I should wait until we can speak face to face so that there is an oppotunity for her to apologise and for us to talk like adults (however hard that may be for me). But i'm certainly won't hold out for her. She did type ''I think we should call for a break'' which is my mind says that she doesn't have the courage to say it outright in fear of hurting my feelings. She is'nt a malicious person and i don't think it is a true reflection of who she is. But like you said she doesn't have the courage. I'm just a bit gutted that after all that time together in what i believed to be my favorite relationship so far, she did'nt want to speak to me face to face. She went to teach in Vietnam because this is somthing she has wanted to do since she was in university 7 years ago. I see what you mean about the signs. There probably were some before she went away but i did'nt spot them maybe or possibly i did'nt want to believe it. i don't know….. i may just be over thinking things, you know how it is.

I would like to mention, just to add to the info, that i went travelling for 8 months after the first year of us deciding to be together and subsqeuantly made a desicion that i would contact her as much as possible, which i did. Infact she printed out all of our correspondance and put it in a book for me. I know it's a different situation i.e she is working out there. But principally it shows that i was willing to make the commitment and now the tables have turned she can't handle it. I'm not sure what answers i'm looking for. It's possible i want to try and hate her, but hate is somewhat close to love. Rationally i think it's best to 'Nothing' her but i'm not sure how i get to that point.

Both statements seem to imply, especially the first one, that you don't belive what he says until you see the evidence(or there abouts). I feel it is clear that what christopher has said about Mother Teresa has solid evidence supporting it. Considering the initial content of the thread it appears at first glance your comments shoot down what i have stated and supported as fact. I think that's possibly why Deadlydarcy's comment is like it is. I think we can all agree he's an odd sort of fellow.

It's important tell the difference between his opinion and actual evidence. TBH i've mainly concentrated on the debates about religeon as that's what i'm most intersted in. Having not read any or seen much of his rebuttle on war i couldn't comment but another of his books on war in on my to do list. But coming back to the original thread i would challenge your comment against Chirstopher in that i belive he states fact when talking about Mother Teresa.

i got the information from a Christopher Hitchen book i read a while back. Haven't followed the info up but talented Scholors are debatably not ones to make accusations based on nothing so i've taken it as most probably correct. I will on the other hand start looking for proof.

Mother Teresa allegedly renounced god on her death bed and wrote in her diary towards the end of her life that her faith witherd and she found it difficult to belive such a god existed atall. So actually not that wierd.
