A buyer collected from me a couple of weeks ago,he saw the bike,no problems,he bought it and paid me there and then through paypal, can work out better sometimes, none of this sent and scammed crap.

As Mike says, you want to avoid doing this. It opens you up to getting nobbled via an Item Not Received Dispute. As they can prove they paid for the item, but you cannot prove you have handed over the goods.

Next time PPGift or BT if you want to do it electronically.

…of course this is assume everyone is on the rob.

One way would be to get people to recognise there is an issue.

At the moment, it seems to be either stick your head in the sand, or as has been seen above, be accused of being a Daily Mail sub-editor if you dare to pose the question.

It was broadcast on the 5th August 2002, so unless some kind soul uploaded the whole thing to Youtube, then you might struggle to get the complete doc.

The OU seems to be using those snippets you posted as course material, and may have been involved in making the doc, so maybe they can help find the whole thing?

The second place picked up that I have signs of over-wear for contact lenses (even though I only wear them for 9hrs but they are the ones designed to be left in for 30 days at a time!)

Interesting. How does this manifest itself?

    -4.5 isn’t that strong,

Agreed. -4.5 isn’t very poor. It needs correcting of course, but as aP says, anything above -6 is very poor.

Anyway. Just get a decent fitting pair of glasses, and maybe lock them in place with a sportsband etc.

If they break again, these get 2 thumbs up for £40-ish.

Some very cheap gym deals here.

My prob is I have all the cheap gyms like TruGym, The Gym etc, but want swimming. So for that it’s either pay Virgin Active a bazillion quid, or local council gyms for £40. Which gives access to 3 pools, and 6 locations. Plus discount on badminton/squash court bookings etc.

My gym is the countryside on my doorstep, and it’s free to access generally, or a small amount of petrol if somewhere I drive to.

An actual gym you pay membership for is expensive, you’ll probably go for a bit and slack off and the membership fee is being wasted, or you go there more often than getting out in the fresh air just to justify the membership fees, it’s a breeding ground for colds, and it’s boring. I’d even go so far as to say I’d rather ride on the road than go to a gym!

As for “it’s dark in the winter” / “too wet outside” etc. Meh. At least when it comes to off road. Dark – go night riding = fun. Wet – mud = fun.

Then why you posting on here still? Go outside and gambol, while all us idiots pay a reasonable monthly fee to get the option to swim, do classes and pump dem gunz….as well as ride bikes.

After 3 months of being immobile and asking for one explicitly she eventually was offered an MRI scan with a 10 week wait. She had one privately with 3 day wait. £100 for the MRI and £250 for the consultant to look at it.

Out of interest, how would this work? Let’s say you did the above, then toddled off to your GP with the MRI, and consultant’s notes I assume. What happens then?

My only issue with gyms is the proliferation of bloody Les Mill’s classes.

so .. you cant control your kids and think its ok to put them in a shopping trolley to keep them quiet.. ffs grow a pair and let them know whose in charge in your house. its parenting like this that gave us tony blair as prime minister.

I agree. The OP’s parenting is the reason we are in Iraq.

While your solidarity for other cyclists is admirable,

Admirable is one word, professionally offended are 2 others.

It seems like quite an effort is needed to get worked up by this advert. It’s merely reenacting an accident scenario. Probably went for a cyclist, as it worked out cheaper to get a guy from the office to lie on the floor with his bike, rather than recreate a vehicle on vehicle smash.
