    Thanks Troutie.

I'm a facts man you see, so when I'm being asked 'How many L's it that nuclear reactor putting out?!" I can answer for sure.

Looking forward to to the light. Great work.

2200? As I understand it there is an efficiency to factor in (heat production etc) on that figure. Is this correct, or is it 2200 actual output?

Not having a go at Ton, but judging by his turnover of bikes we can probably assume he doesn't know what he wants.

    you got it

It was the Montane Kielder 100 Martin rode "The frame was incredibly comfortable and handled well"

Bigsi – ask martinh off here what he thought of the Paradox after completing a 100mile enduro event (he said it performed faultlessly btw)

tinsy – the bike i am thinking of running these on has an xtr cable with a full length jagwire outer, with the xtr ends, if that makes sense.

so i think it's the 4mm ones i need to fit the jagwire as the xtr ends are smaller than normal i think…?

Doug Pinkrton was going to build me a custom 29er with a mix of Columbus 853 etc for £400

I think you do need the 4mm's, but not 100% on that. I'm going to try some to on my XTR cable set, so need to know…

If you run a short cage on your rear mech, and the chain as short as possible, you will not need anything up front.

I have been running 1×9 for 3 years with nothing and chain never drops

    Banshee Paradox

It's not steel, but is as comfortable as the steel SIR9 I owned. It is 100x more fun than the Niner, handles any kind of terrain you care to throw at it, is snappy under pedaling, and is only £399 brand new

Some mag quality pics there Sheldon.

The girls were braving it with short shorts I see – well done :-)

Is that a Banshee Mark's riding?

My sentiments exactly Gary – that's why I've put my money down – £270 with battery & charger

Agreed – a new product with little real world testing, selling (sold out) for ~£300 ea 8O

let's see how Troutie's CS is if things go wrong, which having the odd teething trouble is almost to be expected. From what I have seen he seems a decent sort to stand by his product

Keep bumping the thread CC

there's no getting around it for the money it is good. There is a thread going on mtbr which calls build quality into question though.

I think it's fair to say from the pics we've seen already the trout light should be alot better in that respect. But hey, it is 4X the money

A CK HS will almost certainly creak if you want to use it on a 29er no matter how well fitted, especially if used with a long travel fork.

Hope will not – their centering lock design works, so defo worth the money from that point of view

I've got them on my bikes and wouldn't be without them now.

Always heard their CS similar to yours Mark. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

they are releasing a 30.9 version soon

I was doubtful buying my new alu frame (Banshee Paradox) but that is easily as comfortable as my old steel, but has more snap – nice

Sold my Niner's (RIP & SIR) because the HA's were too steep

    Now own:

    Lenz Behemoth 69.5
    Banshee Paradox 69

These are extreme examples TBH, but Niner's 72 is just too steep.
