That's a shame. I think that's what you're up against. Perhaps we need to exhaust that option 1st?

    Ha Ha Ha :D

2 options – find a friendly dealer or get someone over there to buy for us (if we need to get around a Spesh dealer policy) and then send on, which involve various options again

    21% – wrong

9.5% duty/vat on a £770 Big Mama on top of shipping of £57 which included a fork of £348. UK frame price £1400

I like the look of those Spesh's ton – fancy a group buy?

I would add the Fire XC Pro to your consideration, for running in the rear.

FORGET EVERYTHING you may know about the 26" version. The 29er is great in the present conditions (in my area – mud, loamy, leafy mulsh, roots, hardpack, woods)

I haven't ridden a GF, but most of their preceding offerings, inc 26" have all had flex and breakages. The new ones seem as if this has been addressed, a little at least.

I like GF's innovative approach and not following the rest – G2, slacker angles (which many are doing now), working with Fox to come up with the new rear shock, ABP – it all looks good to me.

But! For all GF's gizmo's I would never sell my no frills single pivot Lenz. Until someone comes up with HTA less than 69 deg and chain stays less than 17.3" I'm stayin' with it :D

Hey John. Very nice (ignore the haters). Although must say my preference is for the red/black

Look forward to a ride report , esp on rear shock performance (DRCV) and any need for propedal

Stu – sorry, really no idea at all for an answer – only looking

Can't someone post up the rest of the quality report

The HiFi almost won the mtbr top award for '09

Personally I wouldn't mind a Rumblefish, but beggars can't be choosers

Kermit Green is my fave Niner colour – very nice

Had an Air 9 for the weekend a while back – it rocked. Climbed extraordinarily well. Very fast bike :D

That's a very good bargain price. The ordinary Sealskinz IIRC called outdoor gloves or something like are slightly better (tried both on) but cost a bit more (~£30)

Both are fine – not too warm but wind resistant and well breathable

A cinch to maintain, can always be 'fixed' easily when it plays up (once you have understood how it works, which is very basic).

    Transformed my riding completely

My attempt failed at bleeding my Formula's – first brake I've tried bleeding.

I didn't realise you had to pull on the syringe (a few times) and create a vacuum to 'pull' the trapped air bubbles out of the lever (and the calliper).

Thing I'm still not sure on is when to close the lever, if this is indeed needed on Formulas, as I have also read the lever needs to removed to bleed the lever properly…???

if you do a search of the forum I did a step by step guide to bleeding formulas, its dead easy!

Hey Mr Nutt, searched but couldn't find your bleeding review. Could you post a linky, cheers

Hey Spacemonkey I haven't been able to sync with outlook for a while (HTC sync says sync failed due to calander file missing)

I'l look into your dropbox recommendation, thanks

I've heard the sliders can creak and slip.

The Paragon's I'm looking at are on the Nimble 29er

Has anyone found an angle finder (like the i-phone app) where you can measure angles, like a HTA on a bike frame?

I wasn't aware of the battery savings. I'm grateful for that

    Good tips thanks.

Apps I've installed so far are mytracks, barcode reader (identifies product and then returns info on cheapest online and local source). Shazam, and google skymaps and layar

Hope also said they had no plans to supersede the Vision 4 as 900 lumens was enough for any light

    Nice

Short and tucked in at the rear for a good balance (are the CS's ~17 & a bit inches?)

    Steepish on the HA though

    How are you finding it?

Is your chain off at the front?

    bonesetter
    Free Member

Could be the alignment of the locater pin. Have changed the position the collar at the base by screwing both ways. This is critical to allow the pin to locate properly and 'drop' into its hole
