How much are they up for now?

No, they are different voltages. I asked him the same question

I love MB's (& sq taper), but they aren't that pretty in triple guise – Uno they look the dogs, Duo OK…

And they don't shift quite as nice as Shimano (XT/R)

Now that's going too far 😉

    Sheesh, these things are pricey.

The price we have to pay for a fettle?!

Very nice Curly – like the stainless work surface

I was thinking either 10×8 or 12×10 with a workbench along the long window side, leccy, lights & insulation

While this is big (in my mind) I'm sure I would fill it with junk in no time. I've seen a few say they wished they had gone bigger…

Do folk fettle much in the shed, or do weather conditions make it difficult – summer stuffy and winter cold?

    Strong LT HT

Thanks AP – I think that's the definitive answer. So, looks like you're snookered and have to go to a Spesh dealer for the job

I wonder if the 2010 Expert is any different?

The BB shell width on the bike above is 73mm and as such I have biased it slightly but only be a few mm's. A previous bike with the same set-up had a 63mm and didn't any bias to work properly

I would try nude before going to any expense.

I use a MB square taper with a Phil BB, no anti-drop device, short rear cage, tight chain, and chainring close to the BB shell – never drops

Your feedback goes against every other I've read on the new 2010 brain suspension.

Owners & testers all comment on the efficient feel, trail tuneability and just how well everything works

Edit: just realised, this is the Comp you're on about, not the Brained version?

    ^ That's what I would do

40 for the kit sounds good in that light – didn't realise there's 12 bearings

Are they much of a job to fit?

Not sure if you'll save much going DIY

I recently had to buy two front hub bearings (Hope Pro2) and they cost £10 for the two.

Spesh charge £90 for the job don't they?

You could take your old bearings to the bearing shop and they'll be able to do a match

How much is the kit from S?

Just had to glue one of mine mine for the second time (in 5 months). Used Araldite but this time sanded both sides well.

The final solution would be to weld it (with an aluminum welder of course)

I needed some replacements for my X-9's. lbs only had X-0's. More money, but have lasted longer than any other jockey's on my Sram's

    Missed the earlier one then

Who the hell was going to pay Turner's RRP ($2400) and try to land one here?

$1750 online closeout will work out the same as the CRC deal

😆 😆 Yer Mick – you've got to learn to lube your chain properly 😆 😆 And then you'll be fine 😆

See you later for some more Somme to rub around your chainring

    Indeed Alias has got one.

He also has a Banshee Paradox he is trying to sell as he says the Paradox rides too close to the Sultan to warrant keeping the two

I didn't know there were any changes. What are they?

I'll start using 'em then. Had thought I'd settle on the Humvees, but they get soggy & hold mud & then get cold and uncomfortable

I still love you Mick don't worry – just with colds, weather & general winter cheeriness haven't been out much

Wed day after midday free if that's good with you. What's your fancy?

I can finally sell you those pedals then as well 😛

I thought this cassette chewed up the inside edge of the hub splines?

I looked into going this way a while but decided against it for that reason. Can't remember all the details now

Is there an adapter which can be used, rather than changing out the headseat?
