^ that’s the down to earth leveler
*goes off to fondle a Leica*
Pre my washing up – Leica or XXXX?
Spoiler – it wasn’t Leica
that greg turner seems to like his tat’s :)
^ is that similar to Fuji lens’ rendering?
Digital RF?
That’s different to say Fuji’s X100 series RF’s?
After seeing this earlier shuffled mine out for a ride
It’s not for everyone
FOR SALE:
Trek Stache 5. As new. Extras
^ deffo going to to see if I can get the ‘silver’ on my B&W’s
Example – something like this I would like to be able to get deeper contrast, more ‘silver’
Presently downloading Lightroom (like dial-up days)
So am going to give that a try
What’s slightly frustrating is so many B&W editor’s are ‘plug-ins’ so you need PS to start with
this thread is poor without pics
Great, thanks. Plenty to look into there then
Any GIMP users/fans?
So, all the options here fairly pricy for a hobbyist, and I don’t like the idea of having to ‘subscribe’ paying monthly
Anything purchasable or even free (quality compromise expected, but acceptable – I use Picasa at the mo)?
Thanks for all the great replies – much apreciated
I shoot a fair bit of B&W, would this alter the options at all?
Monthly payment?
Who do you pay that to?
No uni access
^ Is it FS? :)
JPR – anychance of a pic of your set-up? Cheers
Just looking at the Fuji X-T2.
Pricey, but nice. IQ seems a lot better than the 100T and it doesn’t look too much bigger size wise
Good comparison tool, thanks.
Your MX-1 is known for it’s IQ though, especially JPEG. I think we tend to get a little over anxious about sensor size. Nice camera
Is there another option I should look at, for maybe a little better image quality?
Or is the 100T’s fine?
Was thinking of a bars bag (Jones Loop bars), but thought that’s just too much knocking about esp with a rigid fork
The Dashpoint 10 is favourite so far
Yeah, was thinking of a mobile phone bag on the backpack strap
Lowe Dashpoint 20 looks good
Thanks, but that looks too big for what I’m after
It’s a small Fuji I have
XQ1
That’s an unusual bit of kit, but I was thinking of a bag which gives protection
Thanks for coming in
Do please tell us there will be the larger size available, at least in steel?
^ Important question
Although I suspect the answer to be ‘the same’
Great, thanks
Have you tried JPEG – Fuji’s jpeg colour processing is something they’re famous for
OMG! 1977!
Please don’t tell me somebody before Jeff Jones invented the truss fork?!
I thought it was all his
Or could go for the Hope PF41/46
Fit and forget?

2k for ti frame and forks? if so a few bob cheaper than a ti jones frame/fork
2.5k cheaper
Ti is £2K Steel ~£900
Which IMO is decent pricing
We need the geo figures
Are 1&2 the same size (ETT 23.5″)?
So, come on how does it ride?
How does it fair with the others in the test?
The driving was very relaxed, and didn’t hear a single horn
Food was absolutely brilliant and was the stoundout. Reasonably priced as was the wine – and decent house stuff
Locals very friendly. Stayed in Chefalu which was more ‘local’ and less touristy. Well recommended
Good feedback gil, thanks
*puts wallet back in pocket*
‘course, the truss is meant to be stiff fore/aft, but not vertically
^ having owned both myself, gil’s nailed it.
The ‘take-away for me is the truss fork – makes a huge difference
I’m feeling the Zen too Ton :)
What doesn’t bear thinking about is how many thousands it’s taken to get to this point :)
