Thanks, yeah i’ve got now that x-type is just RF’s trademark name for the same design as hollowtech… and uses std external BB cups – which is what the ‘burns are, right?

spectabilis – I’m thinking of using some on my Stooge (as they suit the bike’s look well). I have some square taper MB’s, which I did fit on the Stooge, but the BB spindle itself is very heavy and effects the CofG of the bike believe it or not, although the cranks are very light

Would want to use a single ring with no spider. I’m a big fan of MB’s and have used them for years

So, yes please, post a pic

Here’s another which shows the colour a little better – it might give you saturation and reduce your need 🙂

I liked the idea of a light alu frame too

What’s the difference between SLX and XT brakes??

Other thing – do fatty’s need to be made from steel?

I can see it on a smaller tyred frame but with massive rubber and the need for weight saving surely alu makes more sense, with perhaps a carbon (or even suspension) fork?

^ That’s a good deal. But, it doesn’t have a carbon fork, and those Jumbo Jim tyres are XC summers

Look forward to your ride feedback tom

Stooge is super light on its front so does need weighting in some instances to avoid washing out

And I suppose with a 36 rear that would make a big difference too

Thanks Z1p – forums for everything now eh?

The FB seems popular state side, but then again Spesh are bigger over there

I’ve seen one and the tyres are truly mahoosive

I like the 190 rear hub as that may be the lasting standard, the 4.6” tyres, carbon fork, plus a decently light aluminum frame

Only bug is the 2x front rings – I like 1x. Anything can be changed though I suppose – just more cash

Hmmm… Stooge fork is 475 a/c (with a nice 55 offset). However, it’s not that wide to fit full fat – still, as you suggest it would give an idea, and I do laready have a HS reducer set-up I could fix up

Yeah, I remember nitros’s ‘stickle with a rigid.

I used to think I couldn’t ride without a ‘long’ suspension fork back then. Going 100 would have given a more versatile bike

The Salsa Enabler is suspension corrected for a 80mm travel fork

That’s 50mm short of 120, although I don’t think 120 is the figure that should be used is it…? Isn’t there a sag figure?

The enabler still seems too short to me (468 a/c) to work

Unfortunately, you have highlighted a common issue – public perception and awareness of what conditions osteopath’s treat.

All osteopaths are trained to treat all manner of sports injuries from diagnosis, through to management, so any presentation whatsoever would not phase an osteopath (or a ‘physio’ worth the title)

After all, when you injure your back (which is what all osteo’s ever treat, right?) the healing process is the same. The back injury person wants to get back to normal activity levels as does the ‘sports person’

My recommendation would be this chap

I trained with him and he is very good

Chronicle’s will be £59 or £69 depending whether you go for the 60tpi or 120 tpi casing. Due mid October. Not sure where the £100+ price has come from, but they aren’t.
