I brake only using one finger and would say as long as you have your brakes set up/positioned correctly on your handlebar then you won’t have any problems…

I would start by asking around the kids to see if they know anything! You just never know these days!

OK just a couple of questions

    1) How far you want to go?
    2) Am guessing the Snow don’t bother you either?
    3) Am assuming you have all the right gear for the conditions?
    4) Are you super fit? lol

Do they have to offer a refund? Im assuming they will do as not everyone will be able to make the new date in April..I think i should be able to make it

Well you have to ask the question as to why they don’t use the public car park??!! after spending all that money and with how the conditions are going to be! Its more than likely all down to money!

I have always found the fire road to be a bit of a pain if you don’t get there early enough!

    bones76

They have made the car park bigger over the last year or so and the main car park now has a filter car park so should the car park be kept clear of snow then i would have said there will be ample parking for all, I think they are trying to keep you away from that fire road you are talking about…

The puffer eh?! am thinking of putting a team together for that next year!

Im up in Cockermouth as i write this and the conditions are very cold and we have had a shower of snow through the night, looking out the window i can’t see the mountain tops because of snow and mist, Whinlatter is not too far from here and i think it may be a struggle to get up there, but i could be wrong…

I also will keep posting weather reports when i can

Thanks for that cougar we have now changed all passwords on a clean computer and so far so good with no unauthorised transactions! And we will take your advice and do a complete clean up of the Lap top.

Thanks so much for your help on this matter and fingers crossed that is the end of it!

OK guys it looks like the Malware has sorted the problem but says we only have 13 days left of its use?!

What do you guys reckon we should have as security for this Lap top in the future? once again not really wanting to pay if possible!

Cougar i hope i have sent you a Email with what you requested! lol

OK Cougar in turns out she has already installed Malwarebytes but they are asking for a fee and we are trying to avoid paying to remove, what next please? if i need to pay i will but would prefer not too!

Cougar can i download this from my mac onto USB then insert USB to PC and download onto infected PC/Lap top? Will it matter that i a have used a Mac?

Fingerbike thanks for your input will try that next should this not work and thanks to everyone else for there input!

She has googled how to remove yes and it comes up with lots of solutions but they all want to charge for there services! though we have now found a couple that say they are free so are waiting to here back from people on here before we go ahead and try one of the so called free removals!

The symptoms are that it says her AV is out of date and the system is at risk of being attacked and they are trying to get us to pay to prevent that happening and no matter what she try’s it just keeps popping up with the same messages all the time! she says her AV is up to date and when we google it seems the virus is quite well known!

Am thinking just go buy a new lap top as she has had this one for a number of years now!

I know it is nowhere near Sheffield but up here in the lakes on the 24th of this month you have the Whinlatter challenge, i have done for last few years and would recommend it as a fairly decent event IMO and there are two distances to choose from, but as i said nowhere near Sheffield!! 😀

We have the Urban Jungle by Mountain Buggy and got from Wynstanleys in Wigan and can have no complaints and it also comes with a range of very good accessories

I upgraded to Kashima coated fork and rear shock around a year ago now, and am pleased i did, they IMO feel a lot smoother and of course they look better too, i run mine on a Yeti ASR 5C and have complemented the bike a treat IMO

nikxl i have to agree with what you say! This has turned into a joke after what was a great day!

    bones76

Have to disagree with you hora, why name him?! so you can hide on here and give him what for? And calling the bloke what you just did is just as bad! Things happen in races, on football or rugby pitches and things get said, get over it!

And as for not being up there with the guys/girls for a shot at the podium, i have to disagree there too, i personally go there to do my best and to better myself and to have a good go, should we all because we have no chance of winning just pootle along at these events??!! get a grip, people are competitive!!

Some of those stages on the course yesterday need attacked with a little speed and aggression to get on, i.e the water section(as mentioned in earlier post) if you can’t ride it then don’t get off at the bottom preventing more abled riders to ride the section, we all pay the money to get out of the ride what we want!

Why not post pictures around your area of this scumbag(off your CCTV), post them every where you can, shop windows etc and get the scumbag named and shamed, OK he will know it is you that has done it and he knows where you live but he already knows that any way and will just keep coming back with his scumbag mates! put a reward up to catch him too, nothing major just a little incentive, then once you find out who he is then its up to you what to do with him, but i know what i would do!!!

    Good luck

It was a great day and look forward HTN 5…Please let it be on??!!

    bones76
    Free Member

I totally understand that HTN has a reputation for a friendly event/race and most people are easy going, but come on guys please get real, when you have the likes of Nick Craig there and other top riders who are there to win/do there best for what ever reason is it any wonder that people get frustrated when less able riders happen to get in the way, i.e around the water crossing for example, some people knew as they were approaching that certain section they were unable to ride it, so why not dismount somewhere safe for everyone and then the guys that can ride it can get on so that everyone gets out of the event what they want, we all get frustrated at times and people put a lot of effort in and sometimes get caught up in the heat of the moment, i.e strong words etc, but all in all most bikers i come across are fairly decent people…

When your saying give up bread, are you meaning all breads?? I at the moment are using pitta bread instead of the usual loafs and so far would say the ones i am using are very tasty and i would like to say i am feeling much better for the switch and no where near as bloated…
