Have had the large bottle on order with tweeks for over a month!
Last email from them says another 4 weeks!

Hopefully what I have will last til then.

In a class of his own at the moment.
Would of been good to see the point when he dropped Tempier though, and a shame Fumic had the mechanical early on.

Can’t see anyone beating him in Cairns either!

I killed two fuel Freehubs in 3 months, the replacement electro hub has done approx 5 months so is an improvement so far.

@ Wallop, what issues did you have with insure & go?

If the freehub has failed, check to make sure the axle is not bent as mine was on both occasions.

Not good in my experience, I broke two freehubs in the space of four months, both times the land better the pawls broke off.
Can’t fault superstars service though. The second time it went back they replaced it with a different hub.

    As above
    Keep undercarriage clean
    Use chamois cream
If I get sore I use metanium (nappy rash cream)
Put clean dry shorts on every day, if you only have a couple of pairs use hand wash.
I also find it helps using different makes of shorts as the pad will be slightly different.

Had an internal performance transfer for a couple of weeks and evening was great till today’s ride.
The post has started feeling rough/sticky when going down, tried some juice lube but not any better.
It returns fine, obviously unloaded though.
    Anyone else had similar?
    Worth trying some slick honey?

    Cheers

Think one of these would be good but sadly no longer produced.

Just had a freehub and axle changed under warrenty, and they couldn’t have been more helpful.
Very quick replies to email as well.

I was sent a shipping label for ups to return the wheel

Was still fine after 18 months (now just another un – loved 26″ frame)

As above just a straight swap on a mtb hub but the flange on the endcap is smaller on the xd one.

Am looking for an xd freewheel if you want to sell? Or swap for a shimano one?

    Cheers

Just fitted the upgrade myself, though not ridden it yet.
Shouldn’t think it will be any different performance wise, just a lot more reliable. (No wave washer to break)

Couple of friends highly recommend Vamos cycling.

I’ve only done mtb in the area but the roads do look great as long as you like climbing!

Not for a service but have purchased parts from SCS to fix, service myself.
As above great to deal with and talk to.

    Couldn’t be more helpful.

Fell off three times! Last night on our muddy night ride.
Between 12 of us there were around 8 crashes two punctures and one snapped chain!
    Not the best night!

It was two types of escort shell the standard and heavy duty (hd).
The mex twin cam and rs models all used the hd shell, which had extra strengthening panels, mountings etc.

@redmex ye it’s sebring red, it was a base model mex so originally came on steel wheels and has bullet end pinstripes, not the larger ones that say mexico.
Still a few jobs to do yet!

If its just a case of shortening the air shaft I have used a hacksaw and file to remove 10mm.
I would check the threads are deep enough first.

Possibly the grub screw on the adjuster catching the foot Bolt, I have had this before.
If you push the adjuster in toward the fork while tightening the grub screw it may help to position it.

Think you can ride all year, but july/August can be pretty hot!
    Best to mail and ask.

I’ve been end of April which is great weather but still a bit cold for the pool! And lots of snow at the top of the pass.
Also September which was warmer but not too hot.

I would recommend an enduro/all mountain bike as it’s not all uplift. You need the uphills to work off the massive dinners you eat!
