As far as I can work out JHJ’s theory is that anyone who has been photographed next to Jimmy Saville who is famous or rich must be a paedo,or part of a grand conspiracy to protect them and anyone photographed next to that other person who is famous or rich must be a paedo,or part of a grand conspiracy to protect them, ad nauseum. Anyone who has ever said anything nice about jimmy saville or any of the above, must be a paedo or part of a grand conspiracy to protect them. I think i’ve got that right. In fact is there anyone who is rich and or famous who is not a paedo or part of this grand conspiracy ? However I don’t understand where the lizards come into it ? I’d thought they’d be more likely to eat children rather have a sexual interest in them ? I’m confused now.

Its also unrealistic to think there will be any physical evidence after 30 years.By this argument Saville is innocent as there is no physical proof just witness testimony.

There is a whole heap of difference between 1 person only making an allegation against one other person and multiple persons making the similar allegations over a number of years against the same person.

what exactly are you claiming happened to make folk exaggerate from an event to a sexual assault

    http://thoughtcatalog.com/janet-bloomfield/2014/12/13-women-who-lied-about-being-raped-and-why-they-did-it/

Student lied about rape so she could re-sit ‘failed’ A level

I could easily find other examples. Yes courts and juries do make decisions, but the can and do make illogical decisions, especially if it’s solely based on testimony of one witness against the defendant, based on emotion, prejudice and a host of other factors. I still remain uncomfortable about cases where the alleged offence took place many years ago where the only witness is the victim and there is no physical evidence or history of offences on the part of the defendant or multiple allegations from other victims.

I made the original comment re one persons testimony – I’ve seen a case online recently – i’ll try and remember where i saw it.

    Meanwhile:
http://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/news/ipswich_man_77_in_court_over_historic_sex_assault_on_young_girl_in_the_1960s_1_4315128 – i can’t find the result for this – but if found not guilty his life has been ruined.

I am not condoning sexual assault in any way , I’m just very uncomfortable about cases that rely solely on individual testimony about events in the distant past. Memories can get distorted, exaggerated etc. The principle of beyond reasonable doubt seems strained in those circumstances.

I’m interested to see how this pans out, having heard rumours years ago. However I’m not very comfortable with some of the recent convictions for offences committed 30+ years ago where the evidence boils down to the testimony of one person as has happened recently.

The new ebikes with the bosch motors have some pretty impressive claimed mileage between charges (note claimed ) ie https://www.electricbikesales.co.uk/Bosch/Gazelle-CityZen-2016 – up to 90 miles.

    how realistic I don’t know.

I’ve had similar problems recently with win10 updates, leading to 100% disk usage. Googling the problem led me to delete certain apps and settings such as superfetch which has solved the problem (until the next update)

Remember folks, there is no such thing as peak Guardian. It’s like Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, much like you’ll never reach self-actualisation, the Guardian will never reach its peak

Mr Goble must like the sexual attractions of jail as it’s the third time he’s off there – previous drug dealing and another for burglary – or he’s just a scumbag

Honda Hrv ‘s – one of the most reliable cars ever built – bit sluggish not very good mpg – – but utterly dependable.

Had a test drive in Lada Niva – ye gods – agricultural is not the word – plastic windows as well.

Fiat – ex had one of these – piece of crap – multiple electrical gremlins – e.g twin sunroofs that conked out in the open position simultaneosly – took about 250 turns of the emergency handle for each to close – would only idle if aircon on or off and numerous other idiosyncrasies. When it was running it was very comfortable and handled well for the bulk

Stuck a 29er rigid carbon fork on my orange evo – difference of 20mm. Can’t say i noticed the difference except the reduction in weight and loss of suspension.
    Rides fine.

Amazon are not too bad – as long as you buy the stuff from them direct – not one of the companies trading on amazon. Amazons customer services frontline can be a bit dozy but have always seen sense after speaking to their supervisors. But as been said before John Lewis are the best for customer service.

depends on crown to axle heights – probably fairly short on these. If you can measure or find out what it is – these could be viable http://www.carboncycles.cc/?s=0&t=2&c=82&.

I’m sure that retrobike would be able to tell you the height.

I used to work visiting various clients with colleagues and one of my colleagues continually used the phrase “at the end of the day” in our discussions with clients. These visits used to take a whole working day but they felt muuuchh longer. i twitch when i hear that phrase now.

It’s hard to get spare parts for Formula hubs. However the freehub hub may well be fairly simple and have replaceable pawls and springs – rather than a bolt on unit like Shimano. Only way to find out is to see if this is the case

Perhaps if it wasn’t weighed down with 50lbs of crap (2 dynamos?) Mr Ancient could manage it.

I know Paprika are a favourite for me – and in Belgium and Netherlands.

For me its a toss up between Marmite Crisps and paprika croky (though you don’t have to go to Belgium to get marmite crisps :-) )
