Same here – most hollywood films utterly predictable. Switch off halfway through and then check on wikipedia to see if i’m missing anything.99% of time i’m not. Prefer asian films – they quite happy to throw a curve ball/kill off the main charactert if it makes more sense to the film- you know that 99 times out of a hundred the hero of a hollywood film will still be there at the end. Watch some korean thrillers – train to busan/man from nowhere/war of the arrows to pep your viewing up or even one of the recent chinese films such as taking of tiger mountain/extraordinary mission.
Agreed King Arthur – full of cockney geeezers in medieval britain. Had more fun making toast. Did enjoy the hippopotamus – but that was because of the acerbic performance of Roger allam. A quick look on netflix shows that the man from nowwhere is on their at the moment and some other asian films worth watching depending on your tastes – let me know if you want any recommendations. Also try – look whos back – a very interesting film

re usb slot – i have one on my sony smart tv and it plays most formats except some avis ok. Much cheaper to insert usb stick than burn dvd. no problem with mkvs. Will even play subtitles if they are in a seperate srt file as long as name of srt file and fim match. Modern tvs more in common with computers than anything else.

i found that xp games that would run under win7 stopped running under win10 with no patch or workaround i could find- sturmovik being one game that no longer worked. I once had an xp pc run really slow because of a faulty mouse – no indication from system mouse was at fault. Change in mouse solved problem (not suggesting this is your problem other than windows faults can be hard to diagnose)

i always thought it odd that after designing and building their own frames each bike has at least half a dozen headspacers to bring the stem to the required height. Design fail?

i had a hotpoint/indesit dishwasher – heap of junk. Bought a miele secondhand – it’s approx 10 years old but still works perfectly (immediately putting jinx on machine. Much better machine than the cheapies and has a handy cutlery drawer – nuch better than the usual stand up in a pot thing. Mkae sure you descale regularly to ensure longer life.

No emotion, little dialogue… Perfect role for Keanu

    – true – i have seen toasters with more emotional range. His stock persona – dumfounded – at the checkout at the supermarket when you realise that you have left your wallet in the car but have a trolley full of shopping.

The John Wick character is just an avatar

tht’s pretty disturbing – a film for people who like to shoot people in the head.

Trilogy – good god – another pile of dreck on it’s way. perhaps this time the plot will be easier to understand and they’ll employ a decent lighting technician. I had to refer to wikipedia after watching the film to understand who the mute woman character was.
Perhaps hollywood will make an enjoyable action film that doesn’t depend on guns – one can hope but doesn’t seem likely.

i like that looks very much like the Scott i purchased.

    Yes – 1 x9

+ mudguards + rack – boring but oh so practical. Maybe carbon bars as on the scott i find the front pretty harsh (but running 35mm tyres)

fulcrum’s website has downloadable spares catalogues. I’d look on their and then contact the UK distributors or fulcrum direct. You’ll probably have to look at the catalogues first (also downloadable to find the model year.

The only time I’ve had problems with qr loosening was on a rim braked bike – the problem was the crappy qrs (Kore) . Changed the qrs – never had problem since even on disc braked bikes as long as you do them up tight enough.

Even if it did work (unlikely) the pricing of 1599 euros for a hand built, electronic geared, lithium battery, carbon fibre thing is hopelessly unrealistic considering the price of a decent normal bike made in the hundreds of thousands. Perhaps they’ll be assembling in Nigeria ?

Stick to your delusions then – the bit that says “Brittan died in January 2015, aged 75, not knowing that police had four months previously concluded he had no case to answer. His widow, Diana, was only informed in October 2015” and

The Metropolitan police commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, is to meet Lord Brittan’s widow later this month to apologise for his force’s handling of a false rape allegation

obviously passes you by. Continue spreading your delusions – I can’t be bothered to further engage with you. I’m obviously only feeding your sad addiction

    bobgarrod

Perhaps you should read the article in the Guardian before smearing everyone in sight.

Brittan died in January 2015, aged 75, not knowing that police had four months previously concluded he had no case to answer. His widow, Diana, was only informed in October 2015.

You really need to get out more – you continue to cast your nasty smears and innuendo against all and sundry. An allegation is not the same as truth or proof of wrongdoing. You really are a fruitcake.

Not seeing much information here to be honest – a lot of speculation, innuendo, guilt by association. Yes there are and have been paedos in public office and positions of fame but there have been lots of accusations about others – such as Leon Brittan which have been found to be total fabrications. Jimmy Saville seems never to have been called out in his lifetime, not because he was surrounded by paedos but that his accusers were not believed because of his fame, or it could have impacted on their careers. Likewise Cyril smith – it was not electorally advantageous for the Libs to out him.
