I really hope the idiot tax kicks in on the 19th July.

All the w-anchors who use the words muzzles, face nappies and think it’s one great big conspiracy.

I for one will still be cautious to a degree and wait for this hopefully exit wave to ease.

Interestingly both easyJet and Ryanair have said mask wearing will still be mandatory on board after the 19th.

Interesting George, what are you going for in terms of gearing?

You could also email DVO directly, they are pretty fast at replying.

Snake wine in Vietnam, got served a shot of it from a massive jar full of snakes infused in alcohol.

Apparently good for virility…no effect apart from feeling a bit hissed.

Bike was in good nick, so bought. Pretty light for an XL, so that’s good.

Listening to a Virologist on Radio five yesterday, they came up with an interesting fact/point in that when viruses mutate, the virus can mutate to the point where they become ineffective so fingers crossed…

They are initially quite tight but mine did loosen up a bit with stretching.

Don’t ever mix them up with the elbow pads in your kit bag though, I once wondered why my knee pads where almost impossible to get on. It was either I had put on huge amounts of weight in a few weeks or something medically was wrong with my legs.
I was just about to hobble over to my mates to whine, when I noticed that my knee pads were lying in the car boot:-)

Perhaps we could make up a playlist and send it to Chris. #helpsaveFroomedog

Only if you want it to be, Chrispo.

It was aimed at the poster who was taking the piss out of us ‘paranoid’ ones, show some compassion for f’s sake!

Some of us on here have had no choice but to be one/two steps more paranoid than most others.

When your partner has had cancer and then gets a letter from the Nhs saying to shield, you take that seriously.

To all the bell ends on here (of which there are few, thank god) try walking a mile in somebody else’s shoes, you selfish ****

Has anybody done this route this as a descent?

Just ordered a Secan, long wait for the frameset, September! But it will give me an opportunity to decide on which groupset to go for.

Spoke to a local last night and he said that Dowies 3,4&5 are running again and better than 1&2

You could probably ride for five days at FoD, easily.

Only problem is, all the unofficial trails have been removed from Trailforks, so you need local knowledge.

Dowies/shut castle is still being felled by the forestry but I rode Dowies 1&2 last week and they are back open but need some trail love.

If you want a car with drama, get a V8!

    Mustang 550, C63 coupe, Lexus v8 coupe.

I had a C63, was always an occasion to drive, even pootling round town was fun because of the noise.

Just spoken to my Dad, who lives in southern Oregon, USA.

They’ve just gone back into a form of lockdown due to a surge in cases https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2021-04-30/oregon-covid-surge-vaccine

45% of Oregon residents have one vaccine shot and 26% have had two.

Is this likely to happen here after May 17th?

Which one would you recommend to replace a croix de fer?

Mainly used as a winter bike with 38mm GK slicks and light touring with a Tailfin seatpack/bag.

Plans to start audaxing and long distance rides.

I was going to get a faran but got put off it, whe they described it as designed for front loaded touring.

Moderna, yesterday, felt a bit woozy but two paracetamol cured that.

It’s aggravated the bruised chest I sustained in an OTB moment the week before but that might be coincidence.

I just booked my vaccination online, in the 45-49 age group in Bristol.

I filmed the Avon Cycleway in November, in timelapse if you want to get an idea of the route.

@TiRed. All this talk from cabinet members and advisers today of a further delay to opening up international travel has been fairly depressing for anybody that works in that industry (me).

Has there been a definitive answer to whether the South African variant can evade vaccine efficacy?

I’ve been looking for a bar bag for the missuses e-bike, problem is due to the short stem, it won’t fit a bar bag that hangs from the handlebar.

Had a look at the Ortlieb bags, looked great but the e-bike display is too wide to accept the bar mount.

No work since end of October, apart from the yearly sim check.

Got into a lockdown routine of napping 😴 n the afternoons but thank goodness the weather is improving as the turbo, even with zwift was tedious.

Can’t wait until the 29th as FoD beckons and some good club rides too.

Do feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

It just doesn’t make sense to me, why these countries are stalling their use of the AZ vaccine but am slightly worried about the effect it will have on our great ‘unwashed’ population psyche.

Play a loud recording of police sirens and boots marching up a driveway and see how quickly the house empties, have some fun at his expense.

Mercedes C63 wagon, makes a nice noise but due to furlough, bla, bla, bla.

It’s getting replaced by an older BMW 335d, which is almost as quick but 10x more boring to drive.

So do we have figures on how many young (40 and younger) people are in hospital?

If this is increasing then, this needs to be put out there as looking at the current behaviour of the population, we have a scenario of vaccinated older people now thinking they are invincible, relaxing their guard and potentially spreading it to the younger population, who, historically have been not too bothered about getting the virus.
