Get a 12v oil extraction pump. An absolute game changer. I bought one after a disastrous oil change a couple of years ago.

I was having an issue with very frequent regens on my Mazda. I got the car up on the ramps, put my 6 litre oil pan under the sump, cracked the drain plug and out the oil came. The oil capacity for the engine is 5 litres so my 6 litre pan should have been more than fine. I’m lying under the car and the pan is rapidly approaching the brim with no sign of the oil slowing down. I panic as I realise the drain plug is somewhere in the hot pan of oil! I had to stick a finger in the drain hole and fish around in the hot oil for the sump plug. Eventually found it and got it back in. Then had to gingerly drag the filled to the brim pan across my monoblocks as oil splashed everywhere. Managed to get it emptied and back under again to get the rest of the oil out. Ultimately about 8 litres thanks to the frequent regens diluting the oil with diesel. Eventually solved that problem by replacing all 4 injectors.

Since then I bought a 12v extraction pump from Lidl in one of their weekly specials. Connect to the battery, one hose down the dipstick, the other hose into a suitable container, turn it on, oil sucked out with no mess. First couple of times I cracked the sump plug just to make sure there was no residual oil in the sump but the pump gets everything out with.

I don’t have a westfalia tow bar but I do have a buzz rack.

When I first got the buzz rack, everything in the manual said it had to be perfectly level with the ground. Trying that meant it never fitted securely.

Ultimately I worked out that with my towbar, the rack needs to be angled up very slightly. It’s the only way the clamp fits properly and securely.

I lower the rack onto the towbar then turn the handle to tighten the clamp. As it’s gets stiff I then very slightly lift the rest of the rack to angle it up a bit. That then full retracts the wedges into the correct position and means there’s no lateral movement possible. I then use the handle but to fully tighten it up.

    What is his reasoning?

Likely because he’d be a one term president. Generally viewed as a huge negative. Bush Sr took flack for being a one term president. It’s basically pure ego. I’m more confused by who is enabling him. Is he so surrounded by grifting sycophants telling the emperor that his new clothes look fantastic?

How would this scam work? Surely no-one would hand over any money before seeing it in the flesh

That’s exactly how it works. Social media is full of people turning up at a random house to collect a car they’ve paid for that doesn’t exist

But for a viewer, aside from the absence of RW on the mike, it is objectively better than the red bull era.

    Is it?

Semi-finals are crap, and we don’t get to see them

All the race coverage was in one place, not spread across multiple platforms

The Red Bull app was far easier to navigate

    It was free to watch

The riders are vocal in how much they hate the new format

enduro seems to be a small event

Except it’s not. So far this year

    Round 1 – 419 racers

    Round 2 – 401 racers

    Round 3 – 327 racers

    Round 4 – 461 racers

The organisers just dont care about it anymore since they took over running the DH world cup

Not seen much about it. Bit of a shame that it’s slipped down the UCI ladder

Supermarkets are fine. Not any more expensive than here.

Stop at the Super U in Taninges, it’s bigger than the Carrefour or Sherpa in Morzine

Cut my family off 9 years ago. Haven’t seen them since. Horrible people and my life is infinitely better without their judgemental bullshit and constant criticism. My parents hate me anyway and my sister was always their favourite so it’s worked out best for all of us

I don’t really have much interest in cycling. I always say that I won’t bother watching the big races (Giro, TdF), but something draws me in and I end up watching a few races – like the Strade Bianchi one that’s on now.

I’m left baffled as to why this is so popular all around the world. Compared to a game of football it’s just so tedious. There are occasional moments of excitement, but for most of the 240+ minutes it’s just a snoozefest. What am I missing?

A mates just had the same problem

I managed to solve it by:

logging out DiscoveryPlus on my Sky box

Registering a new account with Discovery Plus

Logging back in on my Sky Box to link my Sky account

Logging in on my phone to finish the setup

A shambles. Bring back Red Bull

Aye whoever told you it would be quiet is a liar or they were thinking about any other week than race week. It’s probably the maddest venue on the circuit?

Can anyone explain what the line is right now between what the president can do without question and what needs to go to Congress or the senate. I’m aware of the “Executive Orders” but who decides what they can be? Is that the supreme courts responsibility?

It is rather ironic that the typical republican voter is one who wants less government power over their lives, yet they’re likely voting in a president and party that’s going to do their utmost to give themselves even more unchallenged power over them

I have a Whyte Glencoe which is an “adventure road” bike. It came with 650b wheels but also takes 700c wheels. Depending on what I’m doing I regularly switch between the 650b wheels with 50mm gravel tyres, a set of 700c wheels with 35mm gravel tyres and a set of 700c wheels with 30mm road tyres. All of my rides from the house follow broadly the same route with the tyres giving me options for gravel etc.

For the 3 wheel sets on the same sections of road, the 700c road tyre setup is 25%+ faster than the gravel tyres. Road tyres at 90psi plus are simply so much faster than gravel tyres even when pumped up pretty hard.

Surely someone like Obama sits down with Biden and spells it out for him. A credible excuse can be magicked up for him standing down. If he persists, it’s a shoe in for Trump. An alternative candidate has to have a better chance
