If you do pursue boost adaptors then Alltricks have 130mm Reba’s for less than £250 delivered. I recently got some and they arrived really quickly.

Cheers. I like the grey. Wasn’t keen on the big on-one decal so took it off and think it looks better. It’s not clear coated.

I really like this 1 x 11 set up. Have very similar on my other bike. It shifts really well, big range, pretty inexpensive parts relative to 12 speed, long lasting.

Think the frame is 2.7kg. It’s reasonably heavy picking it up, but doesn’t feel it riding. That may be the fact its a hardtail and the aggressor rear tyre is quicker rolling than DHR on my other bike so it rides quicker despite being heavier.

Typing this from my new SE. As mentioned earlier in the thread, this is replacing the old SE. Only had it running for an hour or so but I like it. Using with a Speck Presidio Pro case. Used to love a Speck pixelskin case I used to have and this is similar.

The handover from the old phone to the new one was amazingly simple. This has probably been a thing for a while but it was news to me – just needed to have the old phone in range of the new one and everything just sync’d over in about 20 mins seamlessly.

Felt a bit big at first but getting used to it already. Seems quick. Camera probably the most noticeable other improvement. Seems waaaaay better. Portrait mode takes some lovely pics of the kids. Will obviously need more time with it but first impressions good.

Thanks. I was going to get the bearings replaced anyway as I’ve never had them done and it’s over 3 years old now but thought I might improve it temporarily at least by tightening.

We’ve booked an air bnb for Morzine for the last 2 weeks of August. Paid half of it to date but also have annual insurance policy from pre-covid.

I was thinking it was 50/50 but reading this thread has put a dampener on that!

Can’t see the pic but maybe 6 bolt disc brake rotor screws?

We’ll be there then if the lockdown is over. Looks like entry is already full though.

Will still be interesting to see some of the extra stuff going on. Was in Les Gets 2 years ago when crankworx was on and that was quite cool.

    Bell Super 2 mips.

Bought it for the alps a couple of years ago as wanted a lid with removal chin bar for planned XC rides. Found it so comfy it took over as my main lid for everything +/- the chin bar

Been waiting for this also. Still rocking an old SE. Battery health down to 84%! Needs charging twice a day, but still think it’s a great phone!

This looks ideal. Not too big. Water resistant. Better camera. Only slight disappointment for me is no headphone jack. Otherwise, pretty spot on. Will be getting it I think

Thanks for advice. Went for the park option in the end as just seemed like it would cover more bases and so better long term investment and the other options weren’t that much cheaper once you’d put together all the bits needed

Just an air bnb. But it worked really well and the owner was great. Managed to sort us with the multipass etc

Will be disappointed if it doesn’t happen!

Morzine last two weeks in August. Booked the chalet end of feb as we stayed there last year and it was great so wanted to get that sorted, but that’s all so far.

Hoping we can still go. Think it will be touch and go.

Palliative Care Specialist Pharmacist. Work at Acute Trust and Hospices. Concerns really ramping up about potential shortages of key end of life medicines and also syringe drivers.

Yesterday was 9-5 at hospital trying to make plans and then at home after dinner was up until gone midnight last night basically writing guidelines for second / third / fourth / fifth line options we could use for end of life symptom control if we run out of standard treatment options. Back in today for more of the same including linking in with primary care to support GPs and community teams with the same for those patients who won’t get into hospital. Sobering.

Planning on getting my Big Dog built. Bought the Frame when they came out with the initial discount and have picked up a few bits but hadn’t had much spare cash to put into it so it’s sat idle.

Just got a great deal though on 130mm 29 boost Reba’s from Alltricks (249 euro) so that has kicked off the next phase. Need some wheels next.

I used to play a lot before the kids and still on some mailing lists including my old club.

They’re taking precautions such as raising the depth of the cups so you don’t have to all reach into the hole to retrieve your ball as the cup is shallow enough not too, advocating not removing the pin, keeping apart etc.

I think that it can be done safely but like lots of things, will rely on individuals doing the right things consistently so not without risk.

‘Come and Praise’ was the accompaniment to our primary school assemblies. Autumn days was in there and remembered for the line about your favourite football team when all the lads would shout that bit at full blast.

It’s not too bad from Morzine…quite a lot tougher from Samoens.

Hmmm, guess that might throw a spanner in the works then. We’d be leaving our two girls with my dad for the weekend so couldn’t really afford to get stuck there if lock down happened when we’re there.

Shame. Might have to work on a back up plan, perhaps keeping a last minute deal option open if the CV situation looked to be resolving in Finale

I’m in East Kent and mainly ride in Blean/Clowes/Thornden woods although it’s a bog at the minute!

Just to say also that Sketchy isn’t active anymore but the other suggestions above are good options.

M615s use the same SM-BH90-SS hose as recommended on the 520 calipers so should be straight swap and the fittings should be the same (straight rather than bonjo). Only issue you have is 615s are compatible with the ‘wide’ rotors but the 520s need the ‘narrow’ so you’ll need to swap rotors too.

I’m the OP and just to update I’m still using this set up with the 59 hose by the way and it’s totally fine. Never bothered to switch to the 90 hose.

I used to work (pharmacist) at the Hospital in Kent from 2007-2012 ish and had free membership then as an employee.

It was a nice place to work. The nursing care was good because of much better staff to patient ratio than you would get in an NHS hospital and the facilities better. Lovely grounds etc.

In terms of the actual medical care, they had a few substantive surgeons and anaesthetists but most were from the local NHS trusts doing extra private work and they’d not generally hang around post-op and most care then left to junior RMO doctor. Also, if you had any serious complication eg major bleed or sepsis, they didn’t have facilities to deal with it so you’d be shipped over to the NHS hospital anyway. This was rare though to be fair.

They have rebuilt a new hospital on the site now and don’t know what it’s like but think it’s pretty modern from few pics I’ve seen.

I’d be happy to be treated there for the niceness of the place but not convinced you’d get better actual medical treatment vs NHS and maybe worse if you are unfortunate enough to have complications. It may be quicker to get treatment but you still have to meet the criteria as mentioned. I didn’t end up keeping my membership on when I left and would’ve had to pay for it as I just didn’t think I’d use it or get enough benefit vs normal NHS care.

+1 Yellow Jersey. Worth googling for discount codes too. I got at least 10% off I think last year with a code. May have been more.

Also, just in regards to coming back from Les Gets to Morzine, instead of the road, a new Blue link trail opened last year and it was superb. Much more fun.

Back from Barca and wanted to say thanks to all for the tips. Had a really great time. Hotel was great. Spot on location, really nice place. Did quite a few things mentioned. Parc Guell, cable car to Montjuic, walk through the park down to the beach, boqueria. Had a burger (El Fois) at Foc I oli aribau. Superb.

Highlights however were probably Sagrada Família and Passadis del pep. Sagrada just blew us both away. The advice to do the guided tour was spot on. Really worth it to understand everything and pick out details you’d otherwise never see. The light inside with all of the stained glass was incredibly beautiful. I’m a cynical atheist but was actually quite moved. Can’t imagine how it must feel in there if you actually believe!

Passadis del pep was a special meal. Did have to swallow hard when the bill came but it was a nice experience and fitting of a special occasion.

Also, zero issues with pickpockets. In fact never knowingly felt unsafe or at risk at any time. I was on hyper alert due to the advice so maybe just gave off the right vibe that we were on the ball or maybe just less about being out of season but gladly no bother.

Great place. Made a vow that we’ll go back when Sagrada is finished.

Our two kids are a bit older but we did the last two weeks of the Summer hols in Morzine last year.

£1k for great AirBnB chalet on the edge of town. Prob £500 for tunnel, fuel and tolls. Then we got the multipass which gives free access to the superb pool, ice rink, lifts (on foot) amongst other things. I also got a few days bike lift pass which my wife and I shared. So prob £1700 ish plus food but we took a lot with us, used the supermarket and only had one evening meal out. Wouldn’t have spent that much less at home on food. It’s not coastal obviously but with lac Montriond and the pool didn’t feel we missed anything. Best family holiday we’ve ever had and doing it again this year.

Thanks again. Lots of great ideas. Have booked a table at passadis del pep. Will book Sagrada too and then have a look at other the options.

Had heard about the pickpocket issue but appreciate the practical advice on that.

@ Lunge – Good to hear about the hotel. The roof bar looked good in the pics and reviews seem good.

Will have a look into the suggestions. We did toy with a bike ride but only taking hand luggage so will have to look at what we can fit in.

Is your frame direct mount and you’re mounting the mech with the extra link still attached? Just a thought as I did that initially when replacing a mech once and it wouldn’t move all the way across as the extra link made it sit in the wrong position.

Edit, just realised direct mount is shimano not sram.
