Have had s 2013 Ranger and it was very unreliable and tractor like to drive.

I’ve a 2012 L200 now and it is a much nicer drive, still agricultural though.

Strange decision alright. Entertaining game but we could have been doing with the win.

That chap Le Lo or whatever he’s called scored a couple of nice ones

Indeed Ninfan, to be clear I wasn’t suggesting that. However the hard work and real catalysts for change were Hume and Trimble.
Paisley and McGuinness hung them out to dry and jumped into government when they had no other option.

Just remember this fear worked both ways. McGuiness and Paisley were both self serving ego maniacs that wanted to make sure they looked good.

The true change was instigated by Hume and Trimble.

NI is at a very delicate situation currently and the dissidents will take full advantage of His death.

Yes NI is more peaceful but the paramilitaries on both sides rule their communities with fear and violence.

I have to say, I don’t get all the stick Farrell gets, he’s a great player.

Anyway, interesting piece on Balls.ie where they have aggregated all the Lions XV from the weekend papers

    Full-Back

Stuart Hogg is the main man here, picked by six of the eight writers. Those who went against the grain are Peter O’Reily, who went with Liam Williams, and Stephen Jones, who upheld his wavering support for Rob Kearney.

    Wingers

George North is included in all eight teams, a remarkable turnaround for a man whose selection against Ireland was questioned by Welsh supporters. Anthony Watson and Elliot Daly are the next most popular, each with three picks. Liam and Scott Williams made an appearance each.

    Centres

An English clean sweep: Owen Farrell and Jonathan Joseph the heavy favourites, with a couple of votes for Scott William a single call for Robbie Henshaw.

    Out-half

Seven out of eight go with Johnny Sexton, Stephen Jones the outlier to nobody’s surprise. ( He picks Owen Farrell).

    Scrum-half

Once again, seven out of eight choose Conor Murray. The outlier? It’s Jones, who selects Rhys Webb.

    Number 8

No doubt here: all eight go with English wrecking ball, Billy Vunipola.

    Flankers

Lots of different selections here: Sam Warbuton, Maro Itoje and Justin Tipuric all get four votes, while Sean O’Brien gets three. CJ Stander gets Jim Glennon’s vote.

    Second rows

Alun Wyn-Jones the most popular choice here, with six picks. Itoje and Joe Launchbury each get four, with one each for Richie Gray (Bernard Jackman) and Courtney Lawes (Stephen Jones).

    Props

At loosehead, it’s a tie between Ireland’s Jack McGrath and England’s Mako Vunipola. On the other side, Tadgh Furlong gets seven picks, with Neil Francis’ choice of Dan Cole the only deviation.

    Hooker

Jamie George is preferred to his England captain Dylan Hartley, with four picks to two. Hartley got as many picks as Wales’ Ken Owens, with poor Rory Best nowhere to be seen.

    The full team
    15 – Stuart Hogg

    14 – George North

    13 – Jonathan Joseph

    12 – Owen Farrell

    11 – Anthony Watson/Elliot Daly

    10 – Johnny Sexton

    9 – Conor Murray

    1 – Mako Vunipola/Jack McGrath

    2 – Jamie George

    3 – Tadgh Furlong

    4 – Alun Wyn Jones

    5 – Maro Itoje/Joe Launchbury

    6 – Justin Tipuric/Maro Itoje

    7 – Sam Warburton

    8 – Billy Vunipola

England might well have been shit but you can only play what’s in front of you.

Very negative rugby, obviously a tactic made for a very dull game. Enlgand need to learn to counter against this but if I was Irish I wouldnt feel particulalry proud about the nature of that win.

Negative rugby to you, winning rugby to me. Sure it wasn’t putting 40 points on the All Blacks in the sun but you play to win and that’s what happened.

I didn’t think it was dull at all, but then I’m a forward and love seeing great set piece ball for Ireland. We won every single facet of the game and I’m very pleased we put in an 80minute performance.

I couldn’t be more proud of the Irish team, to win against the odds with a number of first choice players unavailable and guys on the bench making debuts, there is every reason to be proud. Also it bodes well going forward as the number of young players coming through is very exciting.

Just take the green machine players out and make it the British Lions again. That’ll do me.

Does that mean Best can go?

No TJ it doesn’t work like that. Ireland are now the king of 19, you know like conkers!

I thought the Irish youngsters did very well especially Furlong, Henderson, Marmion, Henshaw and Ringrose. Also mention for Like McGrath for the kick to the corner in the 77th minute.

But POM was best player on the park.

I doubt that Ireland can keep this up but I live in hope. Against Wales and Scotland we had one good half in each match. I hope we can have two today! At least the pack have showed up today

Best is a choker and should be nowhere near the lions.

Aye the same choker that led Ireland to wins over SA, NZ and Aus this year.

Best, Heaslip and Murrayhad their worst game for Ireland in a long time. The only forwards with credible performances were the props and possibly Stander to a lesser extent.
