Afoa was always going to miss the semi, at least he will be available for the final….

Declan Fitzpatrick is a strong scrummager but has been out injured a lot this season. We could always move Court to the TH, worked well in the 6N!

I’ll have to inform Ulster rugby to intercept any food parcels with an Edinburgh postal mark then TJ!

Edinburgh can definately beat Ulster, the previous Ulster wins over Edinburgh in the league don’t really tell much of a story as the international players weren’t avaiable for either match. However it will be very tough for them and local papers are predicting around 25,000 Ulster fans in Dublin for the game.

Pigface, which ‘match’ are you referring to, the bonus point win over the Tigers, beating Clermont or Munster at Thomond. It takes more than one good performance to reach the semi’s!

Hopefully it will be a more open game and a bit less attrtional than this afternoons effort. Edinburgh have nothing to lose so it will be closer than you might think.

What a game, the Ulster defence was outstanding, our first win in 20 years in Limerick, awesome. The effort from every player was immense the hunger inm every tackle.

No offense TJ but I reckon Ulster will be in the final, looking forward to Dublin in a few weeks! Fancy a pint?

Hope you enjoy the game TJ and hope Edin can get the win. It really depends which Toulouse side turns up on the day, just hope its the won that doesn’t travel well!

    Time to resurrect (no Easter pun intended) this thread. What are the predictions for the weekend;

I’ll go with Toulouse, Leinster, Ulster and Sarries for going through. Ulster win dependant on Ferris being fit as its going to be one hell of a battle up front.

Edinburgh game to be close and possibly the most entertaining of the weekend.

loum funny you mention Bowe at 13, with Ulster just having signed him, we are well covered on the wing but are quite thin at 13 with really only the injury prone Darren Cave, IRFU might be up to something here.

As for Darcy he has been living on reputation for about 3 seasons now and its time for a change. Just not many options out there.

I think that there will be many twists in the lions selections but here is my effort

    Healy
    Best
    Jones
    Gray
    Jones
    Ferris
    Warb
    Denton
    Murray
    Farrell
    North
    Tuilagi
    Bod
    Bowe
    Kearney/Foden

Is there a Football league in Northern Ireland ?

Yes, but the PSNI are already busy with sectarian violence so they can stay put.

There are some interesting arguements that suggest this would not be the case and that removing one or both of the old firm would actually have a positive effect for the other clubs in the league and scottish football as a whole.

Matt what does these arguments say? Genuine question not being sarky

    BlindMelon

No, the revenue that the other clubs get from having Rangers in the league would dry up after Celtic join the English leagues. I can’t see any of the TV companies shelling out for the rights to watch the smaller clubs.

I don’t think Scotland would be better off either, the numpties that want to cause trouble will just find another excuse to act like morons. See last years riots.

In NI the way its pronouced is normally reflective of a persons background/school they attended. Generally those who attended a Protestant school say aich and a RC school haich. Still don’t know why

Well that was disappointing should have finished the French off. A good 50 min performance but just not good enough in the second half. I have to agree that Healy was outstanding. As for RK on the french try, he hesitated and checked the inside ball before going for his man, def not short on pace.

Pressure On the Welsh team now, it’s yours to loose!!

As an aside how did Edinburgh get on in Belfast on Fri night TJ?

Yeah lets celebrate a player taking a beating when representing the BRITISH and IRISH lions. Catch yourselves on lads.

Since the 6 nations started Ireland have been the 2nd most sucessful team on a match by match basis, ROG made his debut in 2000 so as an Irish fan we have a lot to thank him for.

I really hope that we can win in France but I doubt that on current form we have that big performance in us. Too many of the Irish team are living on reputation at the moment. If we loose then I would like to see Kidney bring on a few more younger players.

Morgs, ROG is no worse than a lot of other ‘moaners’ in intl rugby.

my tuppence worth, avoid the insignia. I have one provided to me. I have had it 18 months and it has been in the garage 4 times with different faults each time. Its ok to drive but nothing special and is not that economical. Its the 2.0 160 diesel and the best mpg on a run was 48, day to day more like 38.

The wifes golf 1.6 will give 65 on a run, so maybe an estate golf?

I had a chat with the local dogs trust this morning. They were really helpful and offered some really good advice. Basically they echoed many of the comments above and they would only give us the option of a dog they knew the history on which rules out many staffys as they have no history.

I have to call in and answer some questions then they come out to view house and garrden and we will take it from there.

    Thanks for all the advice
