No problem, I’m more a technical specification person than an applicator. Email in profile if you have any questions or anything.

greatape, I work in the render trade in Scotland if you need any advice.

RJ surely a 2002 build will already have cavity wall insulation?

The points you raise are valid. Even a tiny amount of moisture getting between render and blockwork in the winter during freezing conditions could cause the render to spall. I would definately get it checked out before work begins.

    Lovely looking bike.

Stevied, I’d echo tony’s comments and suggest a large, I had a small and really wished I’d got a medium.

You can’t argue with the result but Wendy’s point if view should be considered. The times were faster with her as part of the trio and one of the girls was sick the morning of the race.

“She had been vomiting and possibly not at 100% effectiveness, so I thought at that point I will be riding.
“I was told to get ready for the final but with 30 minutes to go I was told ‘you’re not riding’ by Shane Sutton.

Not handled well by either party really

Thanks Mrs F. Very similar circs here in terms of age of junior and Mrs M being unlikely to be able to work PT. The hours would be 9 to 4.30 and fortunately shouldn’t vary much from that.

Graham Mrs M has been looking at nursery as well however the seem to be mostly staffed by 16 year olds who don’t appear to be very mature. But we will explore all options.

Blindmelon, no question is too silly when it comes to looking after your children, surely?

    Fair point.

Mrs F do you mind me asking if you work FT or PT? Mrs Melon really wants to go back to work but is overcome with guilt at the thought of leaving junior and it seems unlikely that PT will be an option with her employer. Also how long did it take for you to become more comfortable leaving Ted with the CM?

Mrs Melon has been doing most of the looking at nurseries and CM and this is the first one that I’ve been asked to go to see as well so hopefully we will get the answers we seek for all of our no doubt silly questions. It certainly is a huge decision to make. It definately will not be based on cost but how junior feels and how we would feel about leaving him there

    Thanks.

If I assume correctly you have to pay them over the holidays even though the kid isn’t there? Didn’t know that!

She has been recommended by a friend but will try to get some more references.

Now your Commander In Chief is shaking hands with one of the enemy’s main leaders.

Are you going to be impressed?

Possibly not but you would hope that no more lives would be lost in the province

Dredging up the past is what put NI in this situation in the first place. We need to look to the future and put emphasis on integrated education and moving forward things will get better slowly.

I don’t think its a big deal at all, nothing more than a PR stunt that Martin and Betty couldn’t sidestep as SF are going down the political route now.

In terms of how it will affect things here, it won’t change a jot, there are still plenty of morons on both sides of the divide who are hell bent on continuing the sickening secarianism that has divided the country for many years.

Currently the province is getting marked up with flags for the so called, ‘glorious twelfth’ nothing more than an excuse for drunken hoods to throw some stones and petrol bombs at the police.

    Only last night this ‘flag guarding’ created this nice piece of news;

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-18603574

However depressing the above may sound things are slowly getting better here but its more to do with education from mixed schools and responsible parents teaching their children to have respect for all people regardless of background, not what happens up on the hill.

Eventually there will be a vote on the future of NI but I doubt if it will be in my lifetime. The Republic of Ireland need to pay off the loans first to be able to afford to pay the salaries of the 35% of peopl employed by the civil service here!
