They are fairly reliable so I’m sure it won’t be anything major. I’ve great memories of my grand dad taking me to the sawmill sitting on the mudguard as a six year d while he was driving.

@loum I have to agree with all of that and that’s a good observation regarding Court/Best, but it puzzling cause they have been destroying most scrums in the Pro 12. Although that maybe says more about John Afoa than anything else.

Jackson played well for Ulster on Fri so he deserves another crack but I wouldn’t be displeased if they started Madigan. As for Heaslip, the soon Deccie goes the sooner Jamie goes!! I’d like to see a back row of Fez, SOB and POM/Henry

Surely we will still beat France in Dublin?

Not doing big miles then! I have a TVO that I run on home heating oil but I’d like to change it for a diesel. Cracking thread by the way, keep it up!

Quite right as well Tom he has been off the boil for too long. I’d like to see Madigan get a run he has been in excellent form for the D4 mob.

*Erin. Having grown up in the West of Scotland, I flat refused to name our daughter a name that features in the first line of The Sash.

Erin is purely the English version of Eire which refers to the whole island of Ireland before partition so it’s hardly that political. Most People singing it are unlikely to know the verse!

Anyway my suggestion is Finvola a Scots deviation from the Irish name Fionnuala. Mentioned in the song The Gem of the Roe.

Excellent place went there for all the things you mention. Stayed at the Galley Bay on the East coast, this is more sheltered and good for snorkelling. The sailing trip we took went down the west coast for better wind or whatever the nautical term is.

The capital, St Johns is fairly small but has a handful of good restaurants and bars. Pre book a taxi with your hotel for your return in the evening as it can feel a bit dodgy after dark.

There are plenty of trips and sightseeing opportunities and you can take a trip to the other islands nearby. All in all I would really recommend it and would return again tomorrow if funds allowed!

Ulster appear to have a similar mindset. Ended in a draw. Ulster were terrible but I must mention young Paddy Jackson, he stepped up and kicked 7 from 9 tonight and got mom. After the grief he received after last weekend fair play to him to come back so well.

Mum knits and crochets them. She doesn’t do it for profit more as a hobby but £30 covers the costs of material generally but not her time. So I’ve been informed

    BlindMelon

How does she make them BM? Knitted, woven, sewn?

I think she makes them a couple of different ways, I’ll check with her

Yes Tom. Tommy was at Dublin Uni and they were comparing tackle forces to car crashes etc. An international tackle at pace is the equivalent to being hit by a car travelling at 30-40 kmph.

Geoff Cross demolished court then kilcoyne

Kilcoyne yes but I’d disagree about Court. We gifted you the game, I’m not overly disappointed as we will probably see the end of the turnip head at the end if the 6N

Well done Glasgow, now to make it a double on sunday

If only Glasgow had a kicker it would have been a lot worse for us. I think he missed all of 7 kicks.

Ire will win on Sunday!! I’m confident, not.

Well I can’t complain about a lack of Ulster players in the Ire team this week. Jackson and Marshall making their full debuts. A big call from Turnip head to leave ROG out, one that’s not gone down well in Munster. Have a look on the Munster fans forum if you want a chuckle.

It’s going to be close but I think Ire will win. We will dominate the set piece esp the scrum as Gods prop isn’t playing, Cross is a poor scrummager and Tom Court will has a point to prove as this is his first Ire appearance since the Twickenham scrum in reverse incident last year when he was playing out of position. With good ball we have a back line full of pace and creativity to do the damage. Ire by 8-10 points

Very true. It seems that the RAF group triggered the avalanche and the Glenmore group got caught up in it, tragic

Glenmore Lodge used to (and probably still do) run one day Avalanche awareness courses, half day classroom on theory and half on the hill doing Rutschblock tests

The third person to die as a result of this avalanche was on a winter skills course with Glenmore Lodge, surely the leaders of such a course would have the experience to avoid a potential avalanche area with a group of winter skills students?

Yeah I knew what you were getting at 😀

We struggled last week at fly half, Olding was making his debut and tbh was a bit out of his depth, his time will come though.

Very good result for Glasgow away from home, keeps the pressure on Ulster who were poor again tonight. Even though they stumbled to s bonus point win they were sloppy at the breakdown and not accurate enough in attack.

Dan Pienaar was good last week and certainly can cover both positions very well.

Interesting fact, Ulster used their 46th different player for the season tonight, 41 of which are Irish qualified. Hopefully this bodes well for the future

Have a look at the Montane Prism or TNF Redpoint. I’ve had both and are very warm. Prism a better fit though.
