Interesting article in the Sydney Morning Herald regarding no back up 7 on the Lions bench.

SoB on as he is a traditional back rower in that, quite correctly,he believes smashing the oppo 10 makes you amazingly attractive to the fairer sex.

    😀

Falou is a very talented palyer and North shouldn’t underestimate him. I hope I’m wrong but I think the ozzies will win this tomorrow

I don’t think the calls would give rise to the crooked throws. Although the last few have been a wee bit better. This is depressing

I must have missed the smiley!!

Best continues to throw like Its dark. Youngs service is very poor to Hogg in his defence

Hogg having a poor start doesn’t mean Scots shouldn’t be picked for the Lions though does it?

Much as I am biased towards our Ulster captain today. He’s having a shocker at line out time

A good 7 makes the tackle gets on feet and makes the turnover. Personally I would like to see Tip at 7 and SOB at 6 I just don’t think Warb is playing well enough to start.

would help if Heaslip and Croft spent less time fannying around on the wing and hit a few rucks. Warburton did a good job on Lions ball but really did lack support.

That’s not really the case. Croft and Heaslip both made more runs, made more metres, offloaded more and hit more rucks than Warbs.

At least Bowe should be back for the second test. I don’t think any if the back row were that great last night. AWJ and POC on the other hand were magnificent.

Zebo for all his attacking threat defends worse than Cuthbert at least Cuthbert will tackle players who run at him

You might want to watch Zebos first try against Wales in the 6N this year again!

I think the Lions could struggle against the Brumbies on Tues. they would also need to improve a lot before sat to stand a chance against Aus. The breakdown last night was terrible. Pluses were Youngs and the 2nd rows outstanding work rate and line outs. Youngs absolutely deserves the 2 shirt and I wonder if Gats is wishing POC was his captain?

Q – who is the dullest?

A – One of the tee-total boys probably.

Joey was the most humble modest man I have ever met. He also carried out a lot of work for charity driving a truck full of clothes and food to children’s homes in eastern Europe by himself.

Great to see Michael getting similar success.

Gutted for Healy. At least he is young enough to have another shout in 4 years time. If it keeps going like this I might need to get the passport dug out 😀

    Thats true DD.

Just realised Tips on bench on sat, maybe we will see Warbs @ 6 and Tip 7 for half an hour?

I’d agree with that AA although I’d like to see Tip at 7 and Warb at 6. I’m not sure that Lydiate can justify a place at the moment.

I think Heaslip will start at 8. If only he would play to his potential in a green shirt!

    From IT:
Jamie Heaslip was outstanding. He made more tackles (12), more runs (16), more clean breaks (five) and more metres (118 — the next best was North’s 77) than any other Lion.

I’m a bit surprised that anyone is trying to justify this blatantly cynical attempt to injure a fellow professional.

Not trying to justify, just state that I don’t believe Healy is an inherently dirty player.

On sat team the forwards could get it tight in this one, bit light weight looking.

I only caught the first 25 mins of the match yesterday so missed both bits re CH. But is he in danger of becoming another Hartley ie, good player but prize one ****t and liability at the same time? Put both of them together and the yellow card risk jumps immediately.

I don’t think that Healy is an inherently dirty player. I would be surprised if anything happens about yesterdays incident. As for the Dan Cole stamp, it was outside the rules but Cole was wrong side and I think his competitive nature got the better of him.

Rory’s darts have always been a bit too inconsistent. Its a shame because the rest of his game is very solid.

No such thing as an easy pool in the Heineken. Happy enough with Ulsters pool, we stuffed the Tigers in Belfast and were unlucky to loose in Leicester so we have a good shout of getting out of the pool.

I don’t think the citing will end Healy’s tour, more likely to be the injury.

Stay on all year round no significant wear issues compared to previous tyres.
