I didn’t see the Ulster game but seems like we were very poor and Jackson still cannot kick even having all summer to practice.

    A true great.

    Miracle

Not the one who takes up his bed and walks
But the ones who have known him all along
    And carry him in –

Their shoulders numb, the ache and stoop deeplocked
In their backs, the stretcher handles
Slippery with sweat. And no let up

Until he’s strapped on tight, made tiltable
and raised to the tiled roof, then lowered for healing.
Be mindful of them as they stand and wait

For the burn of the paid out ropes to cool,
    Their slight lightheadedness and incredulity
To pass, those who had known him all along.

Try it. If you don’t like it top it up with black tea and give it to a gin drinker 😆

I got a new model Octavia as a hire car and when told at the desk that’s what it was going to be I was looking forward to driving it given all the reviews you read about them. But I have to say I was really disappointed.

My biggest gripe was the road noise, it was terrible particularly on the motorway. My colleague in the passenger seat took a call on his mobile and I had to slow to 50 for him to hear the other person. I thought the seats were really uncomfortable after an hour or so and it was poorly spec’d for a mid range model. No cruise control really bugged me. The ride was very harsh as well.

My Mrs has a Mk6 golf S and while it’s also got quite a bit of road noise it’s nowhere near as bad as the new Octavia. Economy wasn’t great either, although it only had 200 miles on the clock so that may improve?

I did however like the DSG box so it wasn’t all bad!

Pigface white pudding is an Eire thing however given that we said an Ulster Fry we can include it on behalf of Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan 😀

    From BBC Sport:

England World Cup winner Josh Lewsey is appointed as the new head of rugby for Wales.

Lewsey will take on operational and strategic management of the whole game in Wales from community to elite level outside the senior international squad.

“I’m delighted to have been offered this opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the strength and wellbeing of the national sport of Wales,” Lewsey said.

“Everyone involved in rugby knows how passionate the whole of Wales is about the sport, so I’m fully aware of the huge responsibility I’m accepting.”

Surely if ever there were an argument for the Union, this must be it. Ulster, Scottish, English – we make the greatest breakfasts. (Not sure what the Welsh version is, which could sink my theory I suppose…)

I think you could be onto something here. I’ll kick it off with Soda Farls and potato bread (known as fadge in Ulster) from here. Add to this from your region and we will have the ultimate UK cooked breakfast. No beans allowed however.

Just been quoted £55 an hour for a truck and two men, the move is 25 miles and they reckon 5-6 hrs so that seems reasonable. Think I’ll go with that as a van and a few trips with fuel would be around £200 and I’d have to do it on my own

Everytime our lad went off a kerb the bars spun, no matter what we did they still would move- prompt refund.

The model I have has stops to prevent this

Definitely A, I thought it was fantastic and a very emotional experience. Also in the grand scheme of costs related to children its not that expensive. I would have regretted not getting it done. It was a 4d scan we had.

If you like Talisker I’d suggest trying something like Oban or Highland Park from a supermarket range. If you want to spend a wee bit more and can access them then Scapa 16, Glengoyne 18 or my favourite Old Pulteney 21 is worth a taste.

Rabo – no one cares, not even the players in the matches….

Thats true, we keep the best players in the squads to do well in Europe

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgPZRW_q4d8

I’m really looking forward to this season. Hoping Schmidt will bring some of the Leinster style to the Ireland team and a top three finish in the 6N would be realistic.

Ulster have a very settled squad and if we have better luck with injuries this season then we will do very well in the Rabo and Heine.
