When I was at school I had the opportunity to go on a rugby tour to South Africa. My Mum didn’t want me to go but my Dad said I could. It was one of the best experiences of my life and gave me the travel bug.

This in turn has opened up wonderful opportunities ever since.

Henshaw put down a marker for Lions 12.

Yes, and Billy Burns put down a marker for Lions waterboy

For playing 65 mins a man down Ireland did better than I expected.

Good goalkeeping isn’t luck No Beer! Great result considering Rangers didn’t play well. One back for the cup final 😉

I really rate O’Neill polarised glasses. Loads of styles available at really good prices on eBay.

So much so I’ve sold all the Oakleys I owned.

Interlocking PVC tiles or looselay vinyl will be fine.

Not quite epic adventure but Raw Spirit by Iain Banks travelling around distilleries in Scotland is one of my favourites.

O’Neill polarised from eBay or m and m direct. I’ve about 4 pairs. Brilliant, never wear Oakleys now

Commercial slip resistant vinyl. Comes in 2m wide rolls, get a cut to correct length from a flooring distributor and use spray adhesive. Job done.

Ok so I put tent up in the garden last night, I’m in NI so was around 20 degrees in the evening and dropped to about 13 overnight.

I left a normal roll mat and a self inflating in the tent overnight, I didn’t sleep in it, and both were damp underneath.

Also when I kneeled directly on groundsheet it was definitely damp inside on the area under pressure. So do I need to proof the groundsheet or do I need a replacement?

I’m not convinced it was condensation as this was the only place it happened.

Happened under the kids mats as well not just mine!

I’ve met a few good ones, stand out ones being

    Willie John McBride
    Doddie Weir
    Malcolm O’Kelly
All second rows I’ve just realised.

However the most down to earth were Jonathan Rea and Joey Dunlop. Really very humble decent men.

Joey in particular did so much for underprivileged kids in Eastern Europe.

Thanks all. Montrose option looks good. I’ve emailed to see if they can stick a mesh pocket under the lid.

Just use sand and cement mix then paint, will be fine for a garage office

Thanks going to go with the Vango Helvellyn.

I will also need a stove, what’s a decent option here, safety being my number one concern with the kids running around.

Thanks everyone. Kids are 6 and 8 so unlikely to carry too much at the moment.

I went for the Krups one at about £45 and for me it’s great. Only been at it a couple of weeks and I can get much better results than high st chains. The grind adjustment settings work well and you can experiment as you wish.
If I feel the need for something more expensive in the future then I will. But for now I’m very happy with it

Hi retro it’s a low pressure extraction like a commercial machine. However it comes with separate baskets for pre ground coffee or freshly ground. The pre ground basket is dual wall which I believe increases the pressure regardless of the grind.

I’ve only had it a couple of weeks and have tried pre ground and also freshly ground using a Krups grinder, the results are great with both tbh.

    Any questions just ask

I’ve just had similar and levelled the lot and fitted LVT. You can use ply, feather finish the joints and stick down LVT. I work for a flooring manufacturer so you can definitely stick onto ply.

Hi bear, I work for a flooring manufacturer both resilient and textile. This is a good carpet for domestic use, for reference a commercial carpet for an office can have a pile weight from around 500g/m2

Wool however will soak up spills so be careful with kids and drinks etc

I’ve had a number of short term BMW cars over the last year while I wait on my new car.

    I’ve had

    318d manual GT
    318d manual tourer
    X1 2.0 petrol auto S drive(FWD)
    320d manual saloon
    318d auto tourer

Whilst not the same model you are looking at I guess a lot of the bits are the same.

My favourite by a distance was the 2.0 petrol auto. It was quick, quiet and great in traffic. And only around 5mpg less than the 318d auto tourer.

If you are dead set on the 1.8d I’d go manual, it feels laboured with the auto box

To be fair AA there was a forward pass in the one we did score so probably fair enough. I thought we were fantastic given the shit last year so whilst disappointing not the end of the world.

Very well done to Wales, well deserved. But my goodness what has happened to Ireland since the autumn? Such a turn around
