End of month and down on sales contracts! Caldwell guys in stoke and Crewe were terrible for it, sell you something, put something else through the computer ststem and let another dept clean up the mess or fob them off! Business contract guys were on £10k a month and more in what some describe as the good old days!

18 issues pretty much still to read but least it will age well, a small investment for a timeless print for a sport I have dedicated years to. It will add nicely to issue one of mountain biker I have , all the early 90’s mags and mtb pro’s.

Its a shame its gone but also nice to have been part of, especially since issue one and it will be sought after in some years time but I’m keeping mine

Also like half the deaths have been from truck and half of them from tipper trucks pretty obvious the current design of trucks is unsuitable for mixing with cyclists.

It may have been said and i will probably antagonise a few but its true in my mind from experience

Truckers (on a whole) aint the brightest or most gentile of folk, tipper drivers (muck shifting guys) are the lowest form of trucker, the ones not trusted to drive lorries, have crashed them or just qualified. They are the sort who drive all day, and drink all night. There are so little margins in muck shifting that they are always rushing to get an extra trip done in the day as it makes a big difference to their take home as most of the trips go to cover costs, so if they get 6 trips in instead of 5 they may take home £120 instead of £80.

With this in mind they drive like ass holes and pay so little attention its untrue, and hence the skewed number of deaths by them. If it was a visibility thing then they would cause half as many deaths as Articulated trailered trucks cause. I dont know exact figures but know its considerably more than them.

Now car drivers are to blame too, and cyclists are also to blame, me included, however im a lot better rider than someone new to commuting and have been in dodgy situations, however i know what to look out for and im better equipped to get out of a situation if it occurrs.

However back to the point, JUST AVOID TIPPERS LIKE THE PLAGUE and take on board what i say, its through experience of meeting them continually, not on the off chance i met one prat.

Condolences to all taken this week too, its played on my mind a lot when around traffic this week

To add to this was a stumpy with a brain and for=x forks in Ashton Under Lyme Cash Convertors and a specialized Tarmac in red with 105 on that were both a little suspect at the weekend

Well quite. But that’s immigration over the last 14 years. What about all the immigrants that arrived in the wake of the Second World War? You know, that little period of 54 years prior to 1999?

Yes, a large amount of them are hard workers and undoubtedly do contribute; but where I live, there’s an awful lot who don’t work and are quite happy to sit on their arses claiming all the benefits that they can, whilst at the same time running criminal rackets such as drug dealing, extortion, fraud, prostitution and child exploitation.

And another thing (and I know that they aren’t your words), what exactly constitutes a “UK Native?” please?

This is an ongoing arguement for those that live amongst it versus those that live away from where these problems occurr.

In my view being in the midst of it it is correct that there are problems and anyone arguing against that is somewhat naive.

First generation Indian subcontinent immigrants were vital and have worked damn hard for what they have, the offspring were lucky in that the times they were born into were generally speaking good times economically (look at pensioners now as a whole, those who worked are reaping the rewards now in that their property has risen massively in value, availability to make good from investment and had high interest rates to top up savings)however this in my eyes has led to a split where a large percentage have carried on working hard while a fai amount have done little to contribute. However the third generation seem to expect everything on a plate and want it without working, hence the higher than average levels of drug, extortion, financial crime surrounding these areas. It does exist and its is a problem.

However we also need to look at home too and it works the same for uk citizens who are also massively happy to sit at home and bleed the system.

Integration hasnt worked in the whole in the NW for example, and i imagine its only a matter of time before the riots as seen in the likes of Oldham are repeated. There is very little love for immigrants in these areas, and that is from a mixed demographic too.

But while its hidden out of the way in NW towns it doesnt matter, so long as the cotswolds, oxfordhire and berkshire folk are releived of the problem then it doesnt matter.

For me, im adding to the problem as we are moving well out of it as its not somewhere i want to bring up kids and i cant even afford to insure a sensible car due to the effects of the above (£2600 for a diesel estate is crazy) and its just going to get worse and more segregated.

That said though, i wholly agree that the new wave of immigrants is a positive and we would struggle without them, though we need to be careful not to allow a repeat of the above with this era and also do something to change our own blood into hard working folk, factories running at break even, pits reopened, anything to bring back a sense of value and community which has been lost here

Put a hedge up and it won’t be seen!

Its the daily mails canny reporting showing aerial shots of them which sends shivers down your spine!

Same with fracking, every shot you see has a drilling rig in it, well ok that will be there for 3 to 6 months but not for ever, you will just have some head works and a manifold, however its always twisted.

Now compare these examples to wind turbines!

I have always asked why I should work for them? Simple but its a two way process!

Once Interviewed a guy when I was a rec con and asked him about a previous job with little detail on his cv. Turned out he spent all day replying to text messages from desperate blokes thinking they were texting bored house wives! Impressed that he could get £300 out of some sole punters in one day, I found him a job!

Uselesshippy, is it classed as a commercial MOT? If so what do you find is the main difference? Just have to take it to a council place and pay £125?

Sorry Kristoff, useful tool for tax this is

Oh VAT is poayable as its been claimed back. Private buyers are charged VAT on cars too but its not claimed back through a business so not charged on sale.

Auction cars from lease companies now have VAT added as its been claimed back on relinquising the asset similarly so buying a car at auction is now not cost effective for you and I.

If there is no VAT then they either bought it privately or havent claimed it back so lost out to the government

    (I believe)

Kristoff your tax is out of date!

Just thought id check a transporter against the crafter for tax and both seem to be £220 so no probs there.

I tend to avoid multistoreys and trail centres so still no real issues, think i might have sold it to myself.

Bling van for half of what a transporter costs!

Seemingly the same width as my accord so should fid down the drive to rear garden in the new house too

Surely starting with group 1 insurance models is the way to go

And then postcode will effect it hugely so maybe ship them off to grannies address in the country
