A lot of places will have closed the lifts then but chamonix will be worth a look as the riding ban will be lifted and I think lifts are still open but check

All you need to do is deliver an empty box from another address you yours and take out the insurance for say £2000. When it gets left on your doorstep again put in a claim and pocket the £2k, they will soon learn!

However knowing yodel, it will prob cost 3k to insure it so may not work

I have up on them a long time back, parcel force is better, has £200 insurance included and you often find discount codes online too for it!

In simple terms ride what you would in the peaks!

Or ride what you you would like to ride in the peaks but can’t be bothered to lug up the hills!

Anything will do for les arcs!

Hopefully see you on the trails next week, if we see steveo out I’ll say hi!

My wife and I had to scrape one up off the floor once after he did the same a min before we got there! Not pretty and he was a right mess, I’m not even sure if he pulled through!

What got me was when his mother turned up, she took one quick look at him and then started on the poor driver who was in a state of shock after having a kid dive in front of his car!

Foakley jawbones for £15 with a case and 3 sets of lenses, seems daft to ruin a good set of glasses off road

Just search ebay for outdoor sunglasses

Put a crank brothers headset in as they have a really low stack height so it will bring it all a lot closer and you can pick them up for £25 ish, a lot better than one of them extenders

Controversially I have ordered organic this time in the hope of less heat buildup and less squeal.

If its forecast wet then sintered will be better though so maybe a mix.

Another tip is to swap them each day and keep the baked ones for the UK winter as they will last a lot longer. Lot lot longer! Yes it’s a faff but worth it

It does indeed but its in teh national park so some frenchie will probably beat you into submission with a baguette if they catch you riding it!

its because you are being tight and not using UST tyres simply!

Ardent a wont slow you down much in les arcs!

Ran singlet for years (advantage 2.4 for last two yrs) and only the odd puncture.

    All depends how you ride

Comp 16’s are coming out of retirement this year though

The king dick adjustable lump hammer seemed to do the trick! Woke the kids up hammering in the garden though, doh!

Totally agree mike, at present it seems we have pavements for pedestrians and roads for cars. Bikes need to be categorised with the same focus as pedestrians as they are only slightly more dangerous users but not in the same realm as motorists.

It all boils down to confidence, no confidence and you are going to end up knocked off

Central London claimed something like40 cyclists in the last two years. And guess what, they were all female, IME the least confident road user!

Totally agree, why can’t you turn left in red, why wait at a pedestrian crossing when the pedestrians have crossed? It’s pedestrian first, then cyclist then car in my view! Sod the laws as they are there for cars, roads designed around cars and bloody bikes were here first.

If drivers don’t like it its either tuff or they can also get in a bike.

Cross roads I wouldn’t jump, or anywhere I’m putting myself at greater risk, however most light jumping removes you from the risk

Or parcel force, the rest have gone bad in recent years

Halfords for a box if you are bothering to box it.

That paisley freight seem to have hit a niche.
    Will remember that one though!

Maxis sidewalls have gone proper flimsy, did the same to a cross mark recently and near new! Tread 90%, threads showing on side wall, time to ditch maxxis I’m thinking, however the 2.4 advantages do come with rubber on the sidewalls!

You could try a tyre boot, stitch it and superglue

Probably no different to the queues for the rest of the lifts which are pretty bad!

At least your hands will get a break from the breaking bumps while you queue each time

Get a prophet, you won’t hardly notice any difference between one of them and the latest orange 5

I sold mine for £200, they go cheaper than that too

Won’t break, won’t need servicing and rides perfect.

Forget all them cheap piles of crap you mentioned

    Thread ended I’d say
