no it drops down to a path that runs flat along the valley to the camp site at the foot of the road climb

Look on google earth, it comes alive with trails

There is a good fast one from duez back to the camp site at the bottom of the 21 switchbacks. You leave duez as you enter on the road and a path cuts or did over the duez sign and comes down the right of the road (as you head up), it then crosses and heads down to the road to villard reculas. Ride to said village and there is a sign on the left where it takes you all the way down.

Have a butchers on google earth, once you zoom in to a certain degree they all pop out at you, then just find them on the IGN map

all you need to know is that pram travel systems or whatever you want to call them are the most overpriced pieces of junk you will ever see! Just think what bike you could buy with the money!

My one recommendation, put pride aside and buy a good one off ebay as there are a lot and you will save a packet. Put the money saved towards little ones first holiday.

Infact this goes for everything kid related. There is a ridiculous market for second hand as new baby gear at a fraction of the new price. Get it all secondhand and it will pay towards a bigger house or a full holiday or 3!

Not sure if im just tight or hate having my pants pulled down. Oh and most of it you dont need in the first place.

We have had an Oysetr for the two of them, worked and lasted but £450, pah! And for doubles, the second hand as new mclaren someone in Wilmslow bought because their Phil and Teds had a puncture was the best buy, £100 thankyou very much!

I got put on a limited seller status on ebay for poor delivery times using them too. They collect up all week but some will only go meet the lorry once a week, plus the other end can be the same, they get them all and sort them into delivery areas so it could be a few days before it gets to your pile.

Insurance is p1ss poor too, £20 i think and if you add more parcelforce is a lot cheaper.

    I learnt the hard way

Caustic line cleaner from your local friendly landlord!

Hang it up and let the water run out by opening the mouth piece in a few stages! If it works on ale lines it certainly does the trick on camelbacks

if you are on a cut up trail then your on the wrong one!

The new red and blue at Vallandry were a bit cut up but they are just a route down to other stuff so i shouldnt worry.

Just keep off the waymarked trail map trails and you will be fine

Got a gravity dropper remote to get rid of, has an extra hole drilled in it for about 1.5″ drop too if you are interested? Great post, and in some ways I prefer it to my reverb as you know where your seat will be and servicing it is as easy as it gets, however it looks stupid in a 34.9mm cube seat post hole with 2 shims to make it fit!

Tomorrows prices for yesterday’s technology unfortunately’. I’d have one given happily but paying that much for a prophet which you can get for buttons is bonkers. I loved my prophet from 04 and the funny thing was that it took orange years a d years to improve on it, and even then it was only by putting a bolt through rear axle on, no advantage having a tapered head tube over a inch and a half one!

Oh the stigma, and in 95% of occasions its so true!

So your fat, eat less and do more exercise, not frikking rocket science is it! Fad diets are all about doing just enough that you lose some weight but not enough to actually make you keep it off once you stop!

If you are fat accept you eat too much and do too little, pretty simple! Cut out the take aways and eat a sensibly, increase exercise and hey presto!

There was actually an interesting documentary on channel 5 a few weeks back where some Aussie guy put some yank on a purely liquidised fruit/veg diet, did the trick damn fast, saved his bacon too! Took the p1ss out of any 5:2 diet!

Get a decent cardboard box and a load of cheap duct tape and cover it, strap old skate lard to base, jobs a good un!

Use empty cable reels to pack it out!

That cardboard box for $159 has to be a windup surely?

Well Stopadoodledoo I managed the third fastest time on strava for la varda on the last day with a hangover, 1 min behind Ali from trail addiction who has no doubt rode it plenty so maybe I don’t!

Having rode there and the UK comparisons I’d say its a good comparison, by Heiden they mean the damn technical rocky stuff and I’d liken that to la varda and Lagan black

Have a look here for the link to the over thread which has some stuff on. Ill be honest, its not an easy place to navigate and we were fortunate to ride with Doug who is a map reading god and has excellent knowledge of the place.

My best suggestion is to buy a map and scour the walkers trails from arcs 1600, 1800, vallandry and try ride them all. You will need to suss out the roads in the resorts to find the starting points and it will be trial and error at times but pretty much all of what is marked up on the IGN map is ace. My map is misleading now to someone who doesnt own it as there is a lot of stuff on that needs removing. Send me a decent pic of the map like what i have on the google pic in the other thread and ill draw some pointer on for you.

Yes it was a sweeping statement but he was an arrogant **** twice to the group

Headed straight over to la varda after I left you at the top of the cachette lift wallop and did la varda in one go flat out, possibly the daftest and hardest thing I have done in a long time.

Got 3rd fastest time on strava though so made up for the agony!

I’d personally avoid TA guides, one we bumped into this year was the most arrogant pr£&k I’ve met in a long time and not happy when he saw my map full of highlighted trails

Just got back from another awesome trip, hi to everyone I met out there and word up to Doug for the most amazing map reading and navigation skills ever!

Oh and strava and la varda isn’t a good combination on the last day with a hangover, possibly the hardest thing I have done but got a time of 24 mins which I was happy with being only a min behind Ali from trail addiction who prob knows it off the back of his hand and wasn’t half cut when riding it!

Because of the frenchies cracking down on guides there is only the white room and I think trail addiction offering guiding there this yr. a lot will put you up but not offer guiding at present so be warned
