I was going to get some but on closer investigation they dont actually seem that good so think ill stick with what works in stead of wasting money on something just because its in the sale!

You also have an idiot screen on ebay in your settings so you can block those with low feedback, negative feedback, etc etc.

Selling bike stuff is always a PITA on ebay, i sell allsorts and have no issues on any categories except cycling.

Facebook Marketplace is just a whole different level. Its like two worlds colliding, a world most would prefer to not know existed. It is just a constant reminder of how much of your tax is wasted on education, im amazed some have made it this far in life.

Cheers guys, Reilly Gradient is a new one to me and looks very nice indeed!

Im after something that isn’t a road bike with knobblies on as I’ve got a nice road bike and want clear differential between the two. I’ve had slicks on the canic and while it looks like a road bike it’s light years away from my revelator so the idea of one bike for both duties was thrown out a long time ago

Inspired to ride is just about to start on bike channel (22:30) for anyone who hasn’t seen it and wants to see a bit of who mike was. I can’t personally bring myself to watch it again yet but take the opportunity to watch or record it if you haven’t seen it

Heart sank when I woke up this morning. Having known mike since uni days I’m totally gutted.

He went doing what he loved, his friends all know that, but such a loss to everyone in the cycling world.

Not looking forward to the trip to Harrogate

which would mean I couldn’t do the serious cycle trip I’ve got in my head for next year.

Taking on Mikes round the world record by the looks of it!

Wherever you will take it will just sell or dispose of it as WEEE for the value of the metals in it so just remove hard drive and bash it reopeatedly and then bin the rest, its useless and worthless

Its hardly worth the hassle when you can get a perfectly good chain for about £6 on ebay, well thats my thoughts anyhow

I don’t think guy is all too fussed tbh, it’s about the sense of freedom and self achievement for him, being part of something without the pressures associated with having to be someone he isn’t! At the end of the day he’s just one of us, he’s handy on a motorbike and not a celebrity by any stretch of the imagination!

I thought it was guy from when mikes dot stayed with him, they are such similar characters they will have had loads to chat about

Not a lot really, mikes just pootling along! You’d have thought he’d have put some effort in really seeing as though he hasn’t got the weight of a map or phone holding him back!

Bloody slackers the lot of them!

Checkin here from mike. Tracker seemingly cream crackered but looks like he’s got it working fine so not sure on that one! Great lead he’s pulled out though, all seemingly going to plan!

We cannot just say they were baddies so it’s fine . If Cameron can kill this guy and a couple of bystanders because it was expedient to do so what and who comes next ? Can we target an orphanage because there is someone who looks a bit ISIS driving past?

No but we do help the monarchy out at times of need

Well fingers crossed, if not its a write off! It just made a noise that sounded like the exhaust falling off so pulled straight over, oil light came on so checked oil and ok. Turned it over again and it made some noises and then just stopped dead so knocked it off!

The timing chain, tensioned and guides were changed by honda and that comes with a warranty, however I also asked if anything else, pulleys, oil pump chain etc needed changing and they said no so fingers crossed they have done something wrong and have to hold their hands up.

If not its an expensive couple of months and cue what big banger thread!

We had a discussion not long ago one night when out regarding the chain getting out of sync, he just couldnt grasp it at all bless him, concluded on “it could happen, lets just keep our fingers crossed it dont!”

Cheers guys, some really useful information there, just what i was looking for really.

We were there 12/18 months back and while looking down on Mosul it didn’t seem too threatening form what i understand and it appears that not much has changed really.

I think its a proceed with caution having an understanding of the situation and what to expect and if anything having the correct evacuation procedure in place.

    bland

Yeah thats my concern that the threat level is different but there are a lot of westerners over there still. I was just hoping to try get a different angle from someone who may know someone there or who has been there recently. Ive spoken to consulate and im waiting on hearing back from my Basra based security consultant, im not just looking here.

Hermes do seem to be improving and they give £50 insurance, use a broker like parcel2go and they give you £10 insurance on the same service the cheeky barstewards. Check weights carefully when using Hermes direct as they will get you, if you want to fudge the weight use parcel2go as it doesnt come back to you for some reason

No, because landfills also need food waste to produce electricity, no one ever mentions landfills producing electricity do they, they only knock out around 5 Terawatt Hours mind you

If you like fast jumpy runs then les arcs may not be the thing you are looking for, there is some but its the main marked up stuff and id class it as crap by comparison to the natural trails that are there for the finding. You may want to spend a day at tignes, thats more like a trail centre, also La Thuile is awesome.

Why not drive to 2alpes one day and hit up the venosc (you will like that) and some other stuff? About 2 hrs ish each way.

    cube stereo!

I swear about mine on local XC loops as it doesnt climb that well with 2.4s on but when it goes to the alps every year it just comes alive! Heels down, brakes off, collect trophies! It just smashes everything

have a look at a jap car, something like this: 70K, FSH, a boot

Nothing really to go wrong, at that price id not bother with diesel, just too expensive when they do go wrong. There might not be that many petrol cars here in relation to diesel but where they come from diesels are rare by comparison.

Its not really a brown envelope, we need to deliver a project and utilise a company to aid in doing so which will land them a big order. Basically we will act as a sales person for them so dont see it unfair to see a commission for doing so. were not tied to one company.

It would need to be legit, basically we would be doing a job of sales man they employ, kind of

    bland

It would be for bringing a company in on an overseas bid, there would be no tender it would just be a realistic commission that we could charge for including one company over another. They would do nothing other than be included on our package and get the work if it goes our way

Steveo from white rooms will be able to hook you up with a guide on a wed or Friday no doubt, we did Heidi with him a few yrs back on a wed. Trail addiction don’t leave the les arcs are so you could have a fun day with them but a lot can be found on maps, some you won’t find but they tend to steer clear if the really tech stuff. Best chat to folk in the campsite or a bar in town and go with a map and highlighter in hand.
