is that the one with the rusty forks?

Yep that is the one. If it comes with rusty forks already I guess it will have the used look. 🙂

At the moment i’m lusting after the on-one fat bike that should be released later this year though will have to wait until 2013 at least to get it 🙁

Glad your ok Paul. Hope that the driver of the bus realises what he has done and how different the situation could have been, even if that is after an intervention from the police.

Do you do any stretching post run or do you like I used to do finish run and go straight to the shower/couch?

Once I started a stretching routine post run/on off days I found I got a lot less stiff. I’m doing the P90X stretch routine which is good if you can put up with the accent.

I’m on there, as are a few of my friends, and while we all like it, it just doesn’t offer anything that facebooks doesn’t. This means that most of my non-geeky friends aren’t bothered about signing up, so I still use FB instead.

This. I’m on it but don’t really use it. Also it has made it more difficult to take pictures from Picasa to post on here.

So I’ve not been training for enduro’s however my wife and I have been increasing our running and started this strength workout (Iron Strength) a couple of weeks ago. We have found it tough but might be something you want to add into what ever training you are doing. Someone has helpfully added a pdf of the workout once you have watched the videos, its in the comments. If you can’t download it email me and I will mail a copy of it.

I’ve got the JVC HA-NC250 ones and can’t fault them. They use a single AAA battery and came with the connections to use in an aeroplane. I find them very comfortable as does my wife who has the same ones.

All the hire ones I have had I just braked and left it in Drive. Probably wait for someone more qualified to come along so you don’t break your own car though.

I used old man mountain rack while touring New Zealand. Worked really well, cheaper than buying a rack and second set of forks. Also means you have suspension if you want it as they mount on the fork lowers.

What most above have said, getting the map out of a pocket will be frustrating, unless you have a photographic memory.
I did what MTG does and use to plot a route of where I wanted to go then see how I was going on time after 2 hours and adjust from there. The last event I did with Dark and White was well organised but the climbs were tough, i’d not ridden that area at all and although I looked at the map and realised the roads would be steep until on them I hadn’t appreciated how tough.
    Good luck and enjoy it.

Cheers BBC Sport, you got me, not quite what I said was it

For me I would love to see Millar at the Olympics, he did take illegal substances knowingly however now he is a big advocate for no drugs in sport. It shows people can change and do make mistakes.

EDIT – see wors beat me to it.

So the only two names I found were
Steve Willis and Stephan Hall. Though I’ve not used either of there books.

The only book I used up in Scotland was this one
Mountain Bike Guide: Inverness, the Great Glen and the Cairngorms

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

    In no particular order.
Run more, I was surprised to see I had run over 900km this year.
Ride more, I was disappointed to see I had only ridden 600km this year.
Gain weight, I want to be over 70kg.

I will be amazed if I manage them all but some should be possible.

I was touring off road with a trailer which had a 12″ wheel. Trailer punctured, no problem I have patches….. Sadly the glue for the patches had dried up.
I rode 5 miles pulling the trailer until I got to the road then stashed the trailer and rode 12 miles to get my car then returned for the trailer. Lesson learned always check you have the right spares.

I want one a lot, however I should be moving to Colorado in a couple of years so I’m going to have to wait until then I think.
